DU SOL UG Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The University of Delhi (DU) School of open learning (SOL) program eligibility for different courses are as follows:

  1. For B.A. (Hons.) English eligibility criteria are 65% in Aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations with  75% of English Core or 65% in English Elective/ functional English (at least with 1 language only English+ 3 academic subjects. Vocational stream is not allowed)
  2. For B.Com (Hons.) eligibility criteria is 55% in aggregate or 60% aggregate of the vocational or technical  stream with commerce
  3. For BA Hons, Political Science eligibility criteria 50% in Aggregate in any one of the qualifying at least with one language plus 3 academic subjects (vocational stream is not allowed).
  4. BA and B.Com – 40% or above marks in aggregate at 10+2 examination (in the case of CBSE and NIOS best 5 subject and other boards marks obtained considered for aggregate.

DU SOL PG Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Students have to appear for the entrance exam for admission to Post Graduation Courses. According to the university guidelines for DU SOL Admission 2023. Students can apply for online registration for admissions to different post-graduation courses in the university.

  • For M.A. (Hindi) eligibility criteria B.A. (Hons) Hindi from the Delhi University with 65% for general category, 58.5% for OBC,  & admission for SC/ST/PWD/CW category candidate will be done according to university rules.
  • For M.A. (History) eligibility criteria are B.A. (Hons.) examination in history from the Delhi University with 60% marks.
  • For M.A (Political Science) eligibility criteria are B.A. (Hons.) in political science from Delhi University with 60% marks or above.
  • For M.A. (Sanskrit) eligibility criteria is B.A (Hons) Sanskrit only from the University of Delhi with 60% marks for general category, 54% marks for OBC  candidates and admissions for SC/ST/ PWD category candidates will be done as per university rules.
  • For M.Com eligibility criteria is 65% in aggregate for general category, 58.5% for OBC category, 60% for CW and PWD category candidates, Minimum passing marks for SC & ST category or  70%  marks in aggregate for general category, 63% for OBC category candidates, 65% for CW and PWD category candidates and minimum passing marks for SC & ST candidates.

The university will release DU SOL admit card for PG programmes one or two weeks prior to the examination.

Is it necessary to attend classes after admissions in DU SOL 2020?

The students can attend weekend classes which will be allotted at the study centres. Since there is no attendance required for examination, so it is not necessary to attend these weekend classes. But, students can attend these classes as it will help them in preparing for their exams.

Is there any reserved seats for admission in DU SOL programmes?

Yes, for admission in PG programmes 50% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi University.
