The Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) Scholarship for Minority Girl Students is a national level scholarship scheme that provides financial assistance to meritorious girl students belonging to the minority communities of India. The scholarship is awarded to students who are studying in Class 9 to 12, and have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in the previous class. The annual income of the student’s family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh.

MAEF Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria for Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship Scheme for Minorities Girl is listed below:

  • Only girl students belonging to six notified Minority Communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis are eligible.
  • The scholarship will be awarded to minorities girl students who are studying in Class 9th to 12th, and have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in the previous class.
  • The annual income of students’ parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh.
  • Students have to submit the Income certificate of parents/guardians that should be issued by the Competent Authority declared by the State Government/UTs Administration.
