Students from class 8th to 10th irrespective of the Board are eligible to participate in this challenge. To access the challenge, a student would be required to join the<\/span><b> CBSE Reading Challenge 2.0 course <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on the DIKSHA Platform through the link given in this article. The registration for stage 1 and stage 2 will take place separately. Candidates must pay the registration fees in order to participate in the course. In case, a candidate has not made the fee payment, then his\/ her application shall be rejected by the conducting authority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The CBSE Reading Challenge 2024 is an initiative by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to promote reading among students of Classes 6 to 12. The challenge is open to all CBSE schools and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The challenge is divided into two levels:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Level 1:<\/strong>\u00a0This level is for students of Classes 6 to 8. The students will be required to read a total of 10 books from a list of recommended books.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Level 2:<\/strong>\u00a0This level is for students of Classes 9 to 12. The students will be required to read a total of 15 books from a list of recommended books.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The books on the list are of different genres, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. The books are selected based on their literary merit and their appeal to young readers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The students will be required to maintain a reading log, which will record the books they have read, the date they started reading the book, and the date they finished reading the book. The main aim of the program is to promote Reading Literacy among the students. The test focuses upon both speed and accuracy in the reading quality of the students.
