Padma Awards<\/strong> are one of the most prestigious civilian awards in India, given in three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. These awards honour people who have made remarkable achievements in a diverse range of fields such as art, sports, education, medicine, engineering, science and technology, civil service and more. The awards are announced on Republic Day every year with the \u2018Padma Vibhushan\u2019 awarded for exceptional and distinguished service; \u2018Padma Bhushan\u2019 given for distinguished service of a high order; and \u2018Padma Shri\u2019 awarded for distinguished service in any field.<\/p>\n

The Padma Awards is an endeavor by the President of India to recognize the achievements and contributions of citizens across a variety of fields. Consisting of three tiers – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri – 106 awards will be conferred for 2021 around March\/April, with 19 recipients being women, 2 Foreigners\/NRI\/PIO\/OCI and 7 Posthumous Awardees.<\/p>\n

Padma Award Ceremony for 100 Eminent Personalities in 2023<\/h2>\n

The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honours conferred by the President of India, which are granted every year to recognise achievement in various fields. For 2023, a total of 106 awards were announced \u2014 6 Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan and 91 Padma Shri recipients \u2014of which 19 were women, 2 were foreigners\/NRI\/PIO\/OCI citizens, and 7 were posthumously honoured. The award ceremony is usually held at Rashtrapati Bhawan around March\u2013April each year.<\/p>\n
