The Indian candidates get admitted in Oxford through this scheme first time in\u00a0October 2013. The Scholars return to India\u00a0after completing their training and expertise under Oxford India Center Scholarship\u00a0to lead the change in the country.<\/p>\n

Oxford India Center Scholarship – India\u2019s Future Leaders<\/h2>\n

The Centre grants funding to the proficient Indian students who didn’t\u00a0get admission under circumstances at Oxford.<\/p>\n

The centre has six scholars this year, And they are studying various aspects of sustainable development.\u00a0These Scholars got selected through the tough selection process. All of them demonstrate the commitment to return to India.<\/p>\n

Scholars are attending the inter-disciplinary seminars arranged by the Centre in collaboration with the Skoll Centre at the Said Business School. And Also have the opportunity to engage in leadership and social entrepreneurship training activities.<\/p>\n

Oxford India Partnership – Oxford\u00a0India Centre for Sustainable Development:<\/h2>\n

Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development is established by Somerville College to grant fully-funded scholarships to the graduate students of India. The OICSD equips scholars to lead the change on their return to India and work on global concerning issues. The Scholarship also plays a vital role in establishing the research and convening partnerships among scholars, academics, policymakers and professionals to find lasting solutions to development affairs.<\/p>\n

As per Dr Alice Prochaska, Principal of Somerville College “The OICSD will help in shaping the next century of India\u2019s growth by educating, connecting and supporting the scholars or future leaders in sustainable development and by making partnerships between Indian institutions and the University of Oxford.<\/p>\n

The Centre will act as an \u2018incubator\u2019 for\u00a0Talent development, pioneering research and New partnerships.<\/p>\n
