UPSTSE 2020 also known as Uttar Pradesh Science Talent Search Examination 2020 will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Science Talent Search Examination  This is a scholarship exam which is conducted to develop the interest of the students in Science subjects. This is a state-level exam which is conducted once every year in online mode. The economically weak candidates can apply for this scholarship. Also, the candidates who wish to seek support from the Uttar Pradesh government for pursuing their higher education can apply for this scheme.

  • The authority will be conducting two separate exams, one based on 10th standard syllabus and the other exam will be based on 12th standard syllabus.
  • The top 1000 students will be selected from each of the exams and hence will be provided with the scholarship accordingly.

UPSTSE 2020 Application Form

Below are some steps involved in filling of the UPSTSE 2020 Registration form:

  • UPSTSE 2020 application form will be available to the candidates on the official website.
  • The application form can be filled through online mode, directly on the website.
  • Candidate has to fill their personal details and qualification/educational details in the application form.
  • Candidates will be required to attach a scanned copy of their recent photograph and signature.
  • Photograph and signature should be attached in the prescribed format.
  • Applicants are also required to attach a scanned copy of a certificate issued by candidate's current school/college/institution attested by Principal.
  • Candidate must check all the details filled in the application form before submitting it.
  • A valid e-mail id & phone number is mandatory for the submission of online application.
  • After filling the application candidate must click the submit button for the application to be registered.
  • After submitting the application form, a filled-in application form will be generated which will contain the registration number, e-mail id and other details given by the candidate.   
  • After submission of the online application form, the particulars mentioned in the form like name of the candidates, date of birth, e-mail id etc will be considered as final details.
  • Correction facility will not be provided by the authorities.
  • Candidates are advised to take out a print of the filled application form for future correspondence.  

UPSTSE 2020 Application Fee

Mode of payment:  Candidate can pay the UPSTSE 2020 registration fee through online only. Candidate has to pay a sum of Rs 500/- as application fee. The application fee will be non-refundable.

  • For online net-banking 
    • Candidate have to log in with bank's net banking Id & password
    • The fee amount and bank charges will appear.
    • After that, the candidate has to click the confirm button.
    • After successful payment of application fee, the candidate will be redirected back to the UPSTSE website
  • For online e-challan payment
    • The candidate will have to log in with their net banking username and password.
    • Fill the details required and make the payment.
    • Once the payment is successful "Fee payment number" will be generated which should be preserved by the candidate

UPSTSE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Below are some Eligibility Criteria for UPSTSE exam 2020 exam the candidate must check before applying for the exam:

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • For class 10th candidates :
    1. Candidates must have passed class 10 or equivalent exam from a recognized board in Uttar Pradesh.
    2. Candidates pursuing in class 10th in UP state from any board are also eligible.
  • For class 11th  & 12th candidates:  
    1. Candidate must have passed their 11th & 12th from a recognized board in Uttar Pradesh.
    2. Candidate pursuing in class 11th or 12th in UP state from any board are also eligible.

UPSTSE 2020 Admit Card

UPSTSE 2020 Admit card can only be downloaded on the official website, it will NOT be sent to the candidates via e-mail/post. Candidates can check the below-given points for downloading the admit card:

  • UPSTSE scholarship 2020 exam hall ticket or admit card will be available to the candidates on the official website.
  • Candidates can download the admit card through online mode.
  • Aspirants must check all the details printed on the admit card.
  • In case of any correction, the candidate should immediately contact the helpline number available on the official website.
  • Admit card will consist of a registration number, roll number, exam centre and other details which were filled in the application form by the candidate.
  • The candidate will have to bring admit card & other documents on the day of the exam.
  • Candidates without the hall ticket will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and will not be permitted to give the exam.

UPSTSE Exam Pattern 2020 for class 10th
Number of questions 52 (13 questions each in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
Maximum marks 152
Marking scheme First seven questions (Q.1-Q.7) will carry 2 marks each and rest six questions  (Q.8-Q.13) will carry 4 marks each
Negative marking  (-0.5 or -1) will be given for the wrong answer of the MCQ-type questions and no negative marking for NAT- type questions

UPSTSE Exam Pattern 2020 for class 12th
Number of questions 68 (17 questions each in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
Maximum marks 200
Marking scheme First nine questions (Q.1-Q.9) will carry 2 marks each and rest eight questions  (Q.10-Q.17) will carry 4 marks each
Negative marking (-0.5 or -1) will be given for the wrong answer of the MCQ-type questions and no negative marking for NAT- type questions

UPSTSE 2020 Preparation Tips
