The Indian Army has announced modifications in their recruitment process and will now conduct a Common Entrance Exam, CEE to recruit Junior Commissioned Officer / Other Ranks / Agniveers in the organization. The online registration process for the CEE exam has started from February 16, 2023 and will continue till March 15, 2023. The computer-based entrance exam will be conducted between April 17 to April 30, 2023, across approximately 175-180 examination centers throughout India.

The selection process comprises of three stages. The first stage is the computer-based online common entrance exam for all the registered candidates. The second stage is the recruitment rally, where all the shortlisted candidates will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test. The third stage is the medical test.

During the registration process, candidates who want to apply for the CEE exam will have to pay a fee of ₹250/-. They can also select five places for appearing for the examination. The new recruitment process aims to streamline the selection process and make it more efficient. Candidates must have reached the age of 17 years and 6 months, but not more than 23 years for entry as Officer Cadet. The syllabus for the Common Entrance Exam (CEE) conducted by the Indian Army includes various topics from Mathematics, English, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates appearing for the CEE must be well-equipped with the requisite knowledge of these subjects to familiarize themselves with the different type of questions that can come up in the exam. The syllabus also includes topics from General Knowledge, Reasoning and Military History or Personality Test as per selection process requirements.

The Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for the Indian Army is a multiple choice based test conducted with both online and offline mode. For offline CEE paper-based exam, it is divided into two parts containing 180 questions comprising of multiple-choice questions and fill in the blanks type questions. The time duration for both examinations is 2 hours respectively.

Applying for the Indian Army CEE exam is a simple process. The interested candidates must register on-line by filling out the application form available on their website with all necessary details. After submitting the application, candidates should take a printout of the registration number and payment receipt generated after successful registration. The applicants may opt either to attempt the offline mode CEE paper-based exam if they prefer or the online mode of examination at their preferred centers.

Important Documents Required to Apply for the Indian Army CEE Exam.

Applicants should ensure that they carry all the required documents when applying for the Indian Army CEE exam. These include caste and domicile certificate, original school leaving certificate, 10th standard mark sheet and admit card, birth certificates/ 10th class mark sheet as age proof and also other certificates issued by Gazetted Officers or competent authority in support of their educational qualifications. The applicants must also affix a recent passport size photograph on the application form.
