The Orissa High Court is looking for applicants to fill the vacancies of Assistant Section Officer and Junior Stenographer. Those interested in applying may go to the official website orissahighcourt.nic.in to submit their online application.

  • The Orissa High Court has announced recruitment for 234 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) and Junior Stenographer posts.
  • The online application process started on March 1 and will end on March 20, 2023.
  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typing.
  • The selection process will include a written exam, a skill test, and an interview.
  • The written exam will be held on May 7, 2023 for the ASO post and May 14, 2023 for the Junior Stenographer post.

Learn About the Orissa High Court’s Eligibility Requirements.

To be eligible for a position at the Orissa High Court, you must have completed a graduation degree in Law or Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized university. Additionally, the candidate should possess computer knowledge with at least six months of experience in using Computers. The applicant must also have effective writing and verbal communication abilities along with strong analytical skills. Applicants must meet the age limit as prescribed by Orissa High Court Recruitment Board (OHRB). The maximum age limit is 35 years for General Candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates and 40 years for other reservations candidates.

The selection process will comprise of preliminary examination/ test, main written exam, computer application test and viva-voca test.

If your post requires a skill test for stenographers or other such tests, you may need to take those tests and clear them as well. During the interviews, the panel will evaluate your communication skills, performance and work experience. The preparation for personal interviews should include reviewing all relevant job experiences, knowledge of computer operations (if applicable) and any other qualifications that may help you be selected for the position. Make sure you present yourself with confidence, knowledge and clarity during these interviews.
