- Tamil Nadu NEET UG Round 1 Joining Date Extended: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research has extended the joining time for candidates selected in round 1 of Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2023 for MBBS and BDS courses. The new joining deadline is August 14, 5 PM.

In case of two candidates having equal scores the following tie-breaking criteria will be used by DME to resolve ties and prepare the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS merit list:
Candidates with higher marks in Biology will be given a higher rank on the merit list
Aspirants obtaining higher scores in Chemistry will be awarded a higher rank in the merit list of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2023
Applicants with a lesser wrong answer will be allotted a better rank in Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list
Candidate senior in age will be placed higher in Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list
