- Tamil Nadu NEET UG Round 1 Joining Date Extended: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research has extended the joining time for candidates selected in round 1 of Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2023 for MBBS and BDS courses. The new joining deadline is August 14, 5 PM.

NTA has not released any update regarding changes in exam pattern, syllabus, number of attempts, eligibility criteria, marking scheme, or mode of examination for the 2027 cycle. Based on historical patterns, the exam is expected to remain a single-day, pen-and-paper (OMR-based) test of 200 questions (180 to be attempted) across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with the same marking scheme (+4/–1).
