The scheduled date for JEE Advanced 2021 is 3rd July, 2021 (Saturday). The Relaxation in the 75% requirement of class 12th has been removed this year as well. JEE Advanced 2021 or Joint Entrance Examination Advanced is a National level entrance exam conducted by IITs. Aspirants can pursue Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Dual Degree programs in Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Sciences or Architecture through the JEE Advanced 2021 in all 23 IITs. Also, the exam is likely to be held in the US for the first time as decided in JAB meeting. The candidates who wish to appear in JEE Advanced 2021 must qualify in JEE Main as to secure a seat in one of the IITs. Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the JEE Advanced 2021 Date, exam will be held on 03 July 2021.
The Relaxation in the 75% requirement of class 12th has been removed this year as well.
The Exam organising body IIT Kharagpur (on behalf of IIT apex body) is yet to announce any notification regarding JEE Advanced 2021.
As per the sources, JAB has decided to give one more chance to students who could not take JEE Advanced 2020 due to Covid-19. Such students will not have to re-qualify by writing JEE Main 2021 and will be allowed to directly appear in the JEE Advanced 2021 exam.
Director IIT Delhi, Mr Venugopal Rao mentioned this in a tweet on JEE Advanced exam in September 2020 that Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced 2021 exam
Candidates who were not able to appear for JEE Advanced 2020 due to COVID can appear in 2021. Such candidates do not need to apply again or re-appear for JEE Main 2021.

JEE Advanced 2021 Application form will be available online. Candidates must visit the official website to download the information brochure/bulletin for all the essential information related to the Application form. Candidates should consider the following steps while filling the JEE Advanced 2021 Registration form:
Step 1: Visit the official website and log in with the Registration credentials of JEE Mains.
Step 2: After login, provide the basic data such as Personal, educational qualifications and the choices of cities for the examination. The candidate will also get an option of adding a mobile number and email id, in addition to the credentials provided during JEE Main 2021 registration.
Step 3: Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of all the required documents listed below:
1.For all candidates
Class X certificate( as per date of birth) or birth certificate.
Class XII or equivalent certificate.
If the name is not matching with Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name is to be provided.
2.For candidates under the GEN-EWS category
GEN-EWS certificate issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
3.For candidates under the OBC-NCL category
OBC-NCL certificate issued by Government of India in confirmation with the latest guidelines and updates on the Central List of State-wise OBCs.
4.For candidates under the SC or ST category
Caste certificate for SC or ST in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
5.For candidates under the PwD category
Physical Disability certificate issued by the notified medical authority.

Candidates are permitted to attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Earlier Admission at IITs
Candidates are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021, if
They took admission at any of the IITs in the past (whether or not they continued in the course); OR
They accepted admission by reporting at a reporting centre in the past; OR
If their admission to any IITs was cancelled in the past.
However, if they joined a preparatory course in any of the IITs in 2019 for the first time, they would be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021. If candidates had paid seat acceptance fee in 2019, they would still be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2021 if,
They did not report at any reporting centre. OR
Withdrew before the last round of seat allotment. OR
Had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, during the joint seat allocation in 2019?
Note: In any of the above cases, the candidate is required to fulfil the Conditions from criterion 1 to criterion 4.
Foreign Candidate Eligibility:Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and have studied (are studying) abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2021, are treated as foreign nationals.

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Schedule
The JEE Advanced 2021 entrance exam will be conducted by the IITs under the supervision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Based on this exam, candidates can take admission in the Bachelor's, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree programs in all the IITs. JAB will do the final decision regarding the candidate's admission in IITs, and it depends on their JEE (Advanced) 2021 score.
This exam is consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. For each paper, candidates will be provided with a duration of three hours. Candidate must have to appear in both the papers. The exam will be held in the computer-based test mode.

The aspirants who appeared for both paper I and Paper II will only be considered for Common Rank List (CRL).
Individual rank cards will not be sent to the candidates.
JEE Advanced 2021 Rank Lists
The JEE Advanced 2021 Rank List will be decided if the candidates fulfil the below-given Criteria:
Candidates who appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered for the ranking.
The marks scored in total in the subject Physics in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be equal to the marks allotted in Physics for JEE Advanced 2021
In the same waymarks for Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated.
The rank list is prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE Advanced 2021.
There will be no waiting list for ranking in JEE Advanced 2021.
Only those candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and aggregate will be included in the rank list.
JEE Advanced 2021 Tie-Breaking
If the aggregate marks of two or more candidates are the same, then a tie-break policy is used for awarding ranks:
Step 1: Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded a higher rank. In case if this also fails to break the tie then follow step 2
Step 2: Higher rank is assigned to that candidate who scored higher marks in Mathematics. If this also fails to break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to a candidate scoring high in Physics. If again there is a tie, then the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

What is New in JEE Advanced 2021?
This year instead of 2.4 lakh, 2.5 lakh JEE Man top qualifiers will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2021. 2nd Paper which usually starts from 2:00 PM will now start at 2:30 PM. Check the complete schedule below:
