JEE Advanced 2023 form will be released on 30 April 2023 by IIT Guwahati. This year IIT Guwahati is expected to conduct the JEE Advanced Exam on 04 June 2023. Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2023) is a National level entrance exam conducted by IITs. Aspirants can pursue Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Dual Degree programs in Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Sciences or Architecture through the JEE Advanced 2023 in all 23 IITs. Also, the exam is likely to be held in the US for the first time as decided in the JAB meeting. The candidates who wish to appear in JEE Advanced 2023 must qualify in JEE Main as to secure a seat in one of the IITs. The number of students taking the examination increased substantially each year. IIT Bombay was the organizing IIT of 2022 and JAB is the apex body of IITs that takes calls on policy, rules and regulations related to admissions and selections at IITs. JEE Advanced 2023 Latest Updates

  • The JEE Advanced 2023 response sheet for individual candidates will be uploaded today, June 9, on jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Candidates who appeared in the June 4 exam can download their JEE Adv response sheet 2023 from the official website.
  • IIT Guwahati previously provided the question paper download link for both paper 1 and 2 of JEE Advanced.
  • The JEE Advanced answer key will be released on June 11, allowing candidates to match their response sheet and calculate their probable score.
  • Candidates can also use the college predictor based on past cut-off trends.
  • After reviewing challenges raised against the provisional answer key, the final answer key will be released on June 18, along with the JEE Advanced 2023 results.
  • The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling and seat allotment process for admission in IITs.
  • Qualified candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for JoSAA counselling and fill their choices within the announced deadline.
  • The marking scheme for JEE Advanced includes 54 questions, with 18 in each subject.

JEE Advanced 2023 Admit Card Released

The JEE Advanced 2023 admit card has been released by IIT Guwahati. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The exam will be held on June 4. Here are the key details regarding the JEE Advanced admit card and exam:

  • The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of JEE Advanced, jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Candidates will be able to access and download the admit card until the exam date.
  • The JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Guwahati on June 4.
  • To download the admit card, candidates who have successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2023 need to visit the online registration portal, jeeadv.ac.in.
  • The admit card will contain essential details such as the candidate's name, roll number, photograph, signature, as well as the name and address of the exam center.
  • JEE Advanced 2023 will consist of two question papers, each with a duration of three hours.

JEE Advanced 2023 Application Form

JEE Advanced 2023 Application form will available online. Candidates must visit the official website to download the information brochure/bulletin for all the essential information related to the Application form. Candidates should consider the following steps while filling out the JEE Advanced 2023 Registration form:

Step 1: Visit the JEE Advanced 2023 official website and log in with the Registration credentials of JEE Mains.
Step 2: After login, provide the basic data such as Personal, educational qualifications and the choices of cities for the examination. The candidate will also get an option of adding a mobile number and email id, in addition to the credentials provided during JEE Main 2023 registration.
Step 3: Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of all the required documents listed below:
     1.For all candidates
  • Class X certificate( as per date of birth) or birth certificate.
  • Class XII or equivalent certificate.
  • If the name is not matching with Class X certificate, a gazette notification showing the change of name is to be provided.
    2.For candidates under the GEN-EWS category
  • GEN-EWS certificate issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
    3.For candidates under the OBC-NCL category
  • OBC-NCL certificate issued by Government of India in confirmation with the latest guidelines and updates on the Central List of State-wise OBCs.
   4.For candidates under the SC or ST category
  • Caste certificate for SC or ST in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
   5.For candidates under the PwD category
  • Physical Disability certificate issued by the notified medical authority.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfil the given JEE Advanced 2023 eligibility criteria to appear in the exam. Check details below:

Performance in JEE Main 2023

To be eligible to give JEE Advanced 2023, the candidate must be among the top 2,24,000 students (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. Given below is information regarding the percentage of various categories of candidates :

  • Candidates should have been born on or after 01 October 1994.
  • Five-year relaxation is given to SC, ST and PWD candidates.
Number of Attempts
  • Candidates are permitted to attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. 
Earlier Admission at IITs

Candidates are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2023, if

  • They took admission at any of the IITs in the past (whether or not they continued in the course);   OR
  • They accepted admission by reporting at a reporting centre in the past;   OR
  • If their admission to any IITs was cancelled in the past.

However, if they joined a preparatory course in any of the IITs in 2019 for the first time, they would be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2023. If candidates had paid seat acceptance fee in 2019, they would still be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2023 if,

  • They did not report at any reporting centre.   OR
  • Withdrew before the last round of seat allotment.    OR
  • Had their seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, during the joint seat allocation in 2019?
Note: In any of the above cases, the candidate is required to fulfil the Conditions from criterion 1 to criterion 4.
Foreign Candidate Eligibility: Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and have studied (are studying) abroad at 10+2 level or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2023, are treated as foreign nationals.

JEE Advanced Admit card 2023 will be available online. The candidates who have submitted the JEE Advanced 2023 registration form successfully can download the Admit Card for JEE Advanced 2023:

  • Candidates can avail the Admit Card from the official website by entering the registration credentials.
  • Candidates should carefully check the entries in the admit card and in case of any issues found they can contact the Chairman, JEE Advanced exam 2023 of the respective zonal coordinating IIT.
  • In case a candidate is facing a problem downloading the admit card, he/she should immediately contact the Chairman, JEE Advanced 2023 of the respective zonal coordinating IIT.

JEE Advanced 2023 Exam Schedule

The JEE Advanced 2023 entrance exam will be conducted by the IITs under the supervision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Based on this exam, candidates can take admitted in the Bachelor's, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree programs in all the IITs. JAB will do the final decision regarding the candidate's admission in IITs, and it depends on their JEE (Advanced) 2023 score.

This exam is consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. For each paper, candidates will be provided with a duration of three hours. The candidate must have to appear in both the papers. The exam will be held in the computer-based test mode.

  •  All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank (CR) of qualified aspirants will be available on the online portal after the results are declared and the JEE Advanced 2023 counselling dates will be announced shortly after.
  •  The aspirants who appeared for both paper I and Paper II will only be considered for Common Rank List (CRL). 
  • Individual rank cards will not be sent to the candidates.

JEE Advanced 2023 Answer Key

Candidates must take note of the following important facts about the JEE Advanced 2023 Answer Key:

  • IIT Kharagpur will release the answer key on its official website.
  • First, IIT KGP releases a provisional answer key.
  • Candidates can check and challenge the provisional answer key on paying a requisite processing fee.
  • After receiving feedback from candidates, IIT KGP publishes the final answer keys.
  • Compilation of marks for JEE Advanced results is as per the final answer key.

JEE Advanced 2023 Rank Lists

The JEE Advanced 2023 Rank List will be decided if the candidates fulfil the below-given Criteria:

  • Candidates who appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered for the ranking.
  • The marks scored in total in the subject Physics in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be equal to the marks allotted in Physics for JEE Advanced 2023
  • In the same waymarks for Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated.
  • The rank list is prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in JEE Advanced 2023.
  • There will be no waiting list for ranking in JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Only those candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and aggregate will be included in the rank list.

JEE Advanced 2023 Tie-Breaking

If the aggregate marks of two or more candidates are the same, then a tie-break policy is used for awarding ranks:

  • Step 1: Candidates having higher positive marks will be awarded a higher rank. In case if this also fails to break the tie then follow step 2
  • Step 2: Higher rank is assigned to that candidate who scored higher marks in Mathematics. If this also fails to break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to a candidate scoring high in Physics. If again there is a tie, then the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

The counselling process for JEE Advanced examination for the academic year 2023 will take place after the result is declared.

  • The seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Govt. Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be allocated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JoSAA)
  • All the candidates who have qualified in the exam are eligible for admission and will have to participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling their choices of courses.
  • The procedure to fill the choices will be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Brochure.
  • The schedule for seat allotment will be announced separately by JoSAA.

What is New in JEE Advanced 2023?

This year instead of 2.4 lakh, 2.5 lakh JEE Man top qualifiers will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2023. 2nd Paper which usually starts at 2:00 PM will now start at 2:30 PM. Check the complete schedule below:

  • JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in the United States of America (USA). The centre will be established in San Francisco.
  • JAB has also decided to remove exam centres from Colombo and Addis Ababa. The decision has been taken due to the lower candidate record in previous years.
