The Heritage Institute of Technology B. Tech Program is a four-year, full-time engineering course. Candidates are required to clear either WBJEE or JEE (Main) by CBSE for admission to the B.Tech programme. In seven separate streams, in which only Computer Science & Engg has 36 seats, HIT offers M.Tech degrees, while all the other streams have 18 seats. Candidates must qualify for the MAKAUT Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) for admission to any of these branches. Candidates with a clear GATE score will need to complete the application form and apply the specified fees to MAKAUT. Eligible applicants would then have to apply for college admission by filling out the application form available on the website of the college. At the time of admission, candidates should remember to pay the tuition fee and all the other fees prescribed by the authorities. This shall be paid in the form of a DD/Banker Cheque/Pay Order, drawn up for the benefit of the 'Heritage Institute of Technology,' payable within the stated date at Kolkata.
The Heritage Institute of Technology also offers an MCA programme in addition to the engineering courses. HIT MCA is a full-time post-graduate course for three years, with an intake capacity of 60 seats. Applicants must apply for admission to the MCA via the WBJEE Joint Entrance Review JECA. By filling in and submitting the appropriate application form along with the fee, eligible students may apply for HIT. At the time of counselling, these eligible candidates will be assigned seats.
