Khannaiyann, founded the Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HCET), one of the leading engineering colleges in Tamilnadu. B.E and B.Tech courses are provided by the Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology. Admission is offered on the basis of the success of the applicant in the Qualifying Test, followed by therapy (TNEA). TNEA is the method of counselling carried out by Anna University for admission to various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. An industrialist and philanthropist, Thiru. T.S.R. Khannaiyann, founded Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HCET) in 2000 . It is an AICTE-approved College with Anna University affiliation. It is also accredited as a 'A' category institution by the NBA and the NAAC. The College offers 25 programmes across the Engineering, Technology and IT streams at UG and PG level. Well-furnished classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, computing centres and a well-stocked library are housed by HCET. Men and women are provided with separate hostels with all of the world-class facilities.
