National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) is a multidisciplinary institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the field of Mental Health and Neurosciences.
NIMHANSoffers B.Sc and Diploma programs in various disciplines at the UG level. At postgraduate level, the institute offers M.Sc, MPH, DM, M.Ch and MD courses along with PG Diploma. At Doctorate level, NIMHANS offers M.Phil & PhD and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) courses in various streams. NIMHANS Online Application form can be filled to apply for the courses offered.
- Admission to all the courses is based on the marks obtained in the NIMHANS Entrance Exam followed by an interview. Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test to be eligible for admission.
- 15%, 7.5% and 27% reservation as per the Government regulation are available to SC, ST and OBC categories respectively. Students must note that no reservation is available in DM and M.Ch seats.
- 3% of the total seats in PG courses are reserved for persons with above 40% and less than 70%disability (Sensory & Orthopedic) except for Nursing, DM, MD, M.Ch and PDF courses.

NIMHANS B.Sc & Diploma Admission 2020
NIMHANS provide admission at the undergraduate level in B.Sc and Diploma course in full time. These courses are for four years. Candidates must have physics, chemistry and biology as a compulsory subject for admission. University selects the applicants based on marks obtained in the entrance test.

NIMHANS M.Sc, MD & MPH Admission 2020
University also offers admission at postgraduate level in the MD, M.Sc, MPH and PG diploma in a different specialization. Those candidates who have MBBS degree can apply for MD and MPH and for M.Sc they must have B.Sc degree in the respective field. Admission to post-graduation courses is based on the university entrance along with an interview.

At postgraduate level, NIMHANS offers DM & M.Ch courses in various specializations. MBBS or MD/DNB degree holders are eligible to apply for DM course while MBBS or MS/ DNB is required for M.Ch program. Admission is based on NIMHANS Entrance Exam conducted by the university followed by an interview.

NIMHANS M.Phil, PhD Admission 2020
The university also offers courses like M.Phil, PhD and PDF at Doctorate level. Students need to appear in an entrance exam which is conducted by the institute itself. The candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance to be eligible for the admission.
Candidates who have cleared UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT or equivalent exams or working as JRF/SRF are exempted from the entrance test. Such candidates need to appear in an interview round only.
