Salient Features of the Scheme

• The scheme is anticipated to provide loans up to Rs. 7.5 lakh for studies in India and Rs. 15 Lakhs.
• Loans up to Rs. 4 Lakh does not require collateral or margin and the interest rate must not exceed the Prime Lending Rates(PLR). 
• For loans above Rs. 4 Lakh, the interest rate will not exceed PLR plus 1 per cent.
• The Education loans are to be repaid over a period of 5-7 years with a provision of grace period of one year after completing studies.
