College offers various courses at under-graduate level in the field of Arts and Commerce. Admission is strictly based on the marks scored in pre-qualifying examination in the relevant discipline. For UG courses, admission is done based on marks obtained in 10+2 level by the candidates. The students are strictly selected as per their merit, done by the college itself. Seats for SC/ST/OBC categories are reserved in all undergraduate courses as per the directive given by University of Delhi and Government of India (SC: 15%; ST: 7.5%; OBC: 27%). Applications for admissions have to be submitted through the common portal of University of Delhi. All the eligible candidates can apply through the steps given below:

Candidates who meet the cut off should log in to the UG admission portal and select SBSEC College and their desired course. A print out of the online admission form with photograph should be brought by the candidates during the verification process. After the approval of admission, candidates should make the online fee payment through the online portal. Candidates must have original and photocopies of the following documents at the time of admission:

Delhi University accepts the self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation/falsified records are detected, the candidate will be debarred from attending any course in the university or its college(s) for the next five years and besides, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC (viz, 470, 471, 474, etc.) will be instituted against him/her, to subject him/her to the requisite criminal proceedings.

Admission into UG merit-based courses such as BA, BCom and other UG courses commence in May every year.
All the foreign students would be offered admission through the Office of the Foreign Students Advisor. All the international students are expected to undergo a medical examination within one month of their admission according to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The admission of all the international students will only be confirmed after the results of the medical fitness examination and the admissions would remain provisional till then.
