USOL PU Admission 2020 - University School of Open Learning, Panjab University was established in 1971. University was formerly known as the Department of Correspondence Studies. It is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Distance Education Board (DEB) and provides education for those who are not able to access it from any sorts. USOL Chandigarh offers various courses at Undergraduate, Post graduate, Diploma, Professional courses and certification level. USOL Chandigarh application form for each course will be available as per schedule at the official website, i.e., mbausol.puchd.ac.in. To apply for admission in any course, candidate must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria demanded by the university. USOL Chandigarh Courses
USOL Chandigarh offers admission in following Panjab University correspondence courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for taking admission in these courses.

Note:
- Applicants with B.Voc (Banking Insurance & Retailing) and BVoc (Retail Management) can take admission in M.Com Course
- Candidates with two reappears during B.Com course in 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th semester can also take admission in the M.Com program. But such candidates must have 50% marks in aggregate considering the remaining passing papers
- Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s from Panjab University, will be given 5% relaxation for admissions for post-graduation courses

| Disaster Management and Corporate Security | The qualification for the admission in the course shall be Bachelors degree with the minimum 45% marks in any discipline from a recognized University. |
| Guidance and Counselling | A Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree in any discipline of the University or a degree of any other University which has been recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate. |
| Health, Family Welfare and Population Education | Admission to the course shall be open to any person who has obtained Bachelor's degree or BAMS degree of the Panjab University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent by the Syndicate |
| Human Rights and Duties | The Admission to the Course shall be open to any person who has passed the Bachelor Degree examination in any faculty from Panjab University or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto. |
| Library Automation and Networking | The Admission to course shall be open to persons who have passed Bachelor's of Library Science (B.Lib. & I. Sc.) OR Two years integrated course of Master of Library & Information Science (M. Lib. & I. Sc.) from any recognized University. |

Certificate Courses
All the certificate courses are provided with a duration of 01 Year:

Panjab University USOL Admission Test
The university conducts a PU USOL entrance test on the basis of which admissions are offered to students.
- The examination consists of following four sections-Data Interpreting, General English, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability.
- It is a 2 hour examination and has no negative marking.
- The results will be declared online at results.puchd.ac.in.
- After the results are declared, the candidate has to fill the admission form on the official website.
- After result declaration, university will release merit list. Qualified candidates will have to appear for the counselling at one of the reporting centers of the university.
- Candidates have to pay the counselling fee and afterwhich university will verify the documents at the reporting center.

How To Apply For USOL Panjab University Admissions?
Candidates can fill the application form for admission at the university through online mode only.
The process for application is as follows-
- Candidate needs to sign up and create a login id and password by visiting USOL PU official website.
- After that, the candidate have to fill all the details asked in the registration form .
- Then candidates have to upload all the necessary documents in the prescribed format and size.
- Registration fees can be paid through Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ SBI Challan.

Reservations And Fees Concession In USOL Panjab University
Panjab University offers following reservation apart from providing standard reservations to SC/ST/OBC candidates :
- Two additional seats for one girl child out of the two girl children
- One additional seat for Cancer patients
- AIDS patient
- Thalassemia Patients
Students whose parents are Martyrs/Permanent Disabled (up to 80%) in the Kargil War, and have a certificate from the Ministry of Defence are exempted of curriculum fees and hostel fees.
