AISSEE 2023 i.e. All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam 2023 Admit card has released on 4 January 2023. It will be conducted on 8 January 2023 by National Testing Agency (NTA). Sainik Schools offer admission at the level of Class VI and Class IX. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). This exam is conducted every year at the national level. Candidates who are willing to take admissions in National Defense Academy, Pune, and other training institutes can apply for this exam. AISSEE 2023 Application Form

The candidates must check the eligibility criteria of the exam before applying. Check AISSEE 2023 registration details hereby;

  • To get all the related details via mail or SMS, a valid email Id & mobile number should be given. 
  • Candidates have to fill in the relevant information only.
  • The form will be considered incomplete without the fee payment, and will therefore not be approved.

AISSEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Students/guardians must review the complete Sainik School eligibility requirements before completing the 2023 Sainik School admission form to avoid any later complications. 

AISSEE Class 6 Application Eligibility

  • The student must be between 10-12 years old as of 31 March 2023 (born between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2012-inclusive of both days).

AISSEE Class 9 Application Eligibility

  • Only boys from a recognized school in India who are studying in VIII are eligible to complete the Class 9 application form for AISSEE 2023. 
  • The age of the student must be between 13-15 as of 31 March 2023 (born between 1 April 2007 and 31 March 2009-inclusive of both days).

AISSEE 2023 Admit Card

Applicants must carry their Admit Card to the exam centre on the day of the examination, or they will not be allowed to take the examination.

  • The candidates can now download their AISSEE Hall ticket from the official website.
  • AISSEE Admit Card 2023 is the main document containing the candidate's personal details and basic examination information, such as roll number, exam date and time, center address, etc.
  • AISSEE 2023 Admit Card releases for all applicants only on the official website.

AISSEE 2023 Exam Pattern

To appear in the exam, for better preparation, aspirants must know the examination scheme. Applicants should check the AISSEE 2023 examination pattern below. 
For Class 6
  • English, Hindi, and regional languages will be the means of examination for Class VI examinations. 
  • The Class 6 Question Papers will continue to be formulated in English and all of the recognized official languages of the states in which Sainik Schools are situated. 
  • The written examination will be of a total of 300 marks.
For Class 9
  • Question papers will only be set in English for class 9 and students are expected to reply in English. 
  • The written examination will be of a total of 300 marks.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

There is no negative mark for a wrong response.
  • Mode of Examination: Paper pencil on OMR answer sheets for admission to both Class VI and Class IX.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions

AISSEE 2023 Preparation Tips

Candidates should check the essential points before preparing for the examination:

  • At least 3-4 months before the exam date, start studying for the exam. 
  • Try to resolve the complete mock tests and the previous years' question papers.
  • Before the week of the examination, do not learn new topics. 
  • Try to clear your doubts with the best books and keep practising.

AISSEE 2023 Answer Key

  • The applicants who want to evaluate their entrance exam performance in the entrance exam can refer to the AISSEE 2023 Answer Key. 
  • The Answer Key will consist of all the correct answers to the question paper set in the entrance exam.

  • It gives a rough idea about the scores achieved by them in the entrance exam by comparing the Answer Key with that of the answers marked by the applicants in the entrance examination centre.  

AISSEE 2023 Result 

AISSEE 2023 Result will be declared in the form of a merit list in March 2023. Following are some important points related to the merit list of this exam.
  • Based on the marks earned by the applicant, the merit list for admission to the Sainik School will be compiled.
  • If a tie occurs concerning overall scores, the marks for mathematics will be taken into account.
  • If there is a tie, the English marks for Class 9 and the Intelligence Test for Class 6 will also be considered, followed by the General Science marks for Class 9 and the Class 6 languages.
  • If there is a tie, marks obtained in the written examination will also pick the applicant younger in age to decide his place in the final merit list.

AISSEE 2023 Reservation

  • For Scheduled Castes, 15% of the total seats are reserved and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes. 
  • 67% of the remaining seats will be reserved for children from the state where the Sainik Schools are situated. Balance In the ratio of their male population, 33% leftover from seats would be thrown open to children from other States and Union Territories. Any unused seats in this group will be paired with seats from the home state. 
  • 25% of seats are reserved for service staff children, including ex-servicemen. 

AISSEE 2023 Cut Off Marks

For general category candidates as well as children of Defense Services personnel and ex-servicemen, the minimum qualifying marks for each subject shall be 25% with 40%  in aggregate, unless these qualifying criteria are updated or modified by the Honorary Secretary by the issuance of written instructions. 

Minimum qualifying requirements are not needed for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes candidates and will be admitted to the Entrance Examination within these categories based on merit. If an SC / ST candidate comes on his own in the general merit, he will be admitted to the general seat and would not be qualified for the reserved share of the SC / St seats.
