NITTT 2027: Application, Exam Dates & Registration
Updated On - October 02 2026 by Abhinandan Singh
The National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) is a programme designed to provide in-service training to inductee teachers in AICTE-approved/recognised institutions. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) through an Online Based Testing Remote Proctored (OBT-RP) format. The NITTT 2027 application window is tentatively expected to open around 23 January 2027, and the examination is projected to be held on 4, 5, 11, and 12 February 2027. Candidates should monitor the official website at nittt.nta.ac.in for confirmed dates, admit card release, and course-enrollment deadlines.
The training program is conducted in three phases:
- The first phase is an online training of eight modules on the SWAYAM platform through the NITTT portal (www.nittt.ac.in/).
- The second phase is mentor-based training.
- The third phase is one-month industrial training.
An Inductee Teacher is required to complete all three phases of training within three years of registration at www.nittt.ac.in. The training program includes eight modules that will be modified from time to time, and the coordinating institute will notify the detailed content of each module.
If the Inductee Teacher fails to complete the program within three years, he/she will have to re-register and complete the remaining training process until successfully completing the program. Newly recruited teachers in AICTE approved/recognized institutions must successfully complete all three phases of training before their probation can be confirmed. However, all service benefits will accrue from the date of joining.
