Calicut University Admission 2022 is done on the basis of candidate merit in the last qualifying exam. Calicut University offers admission in the various specification of Ph.D. courses at the doctorate level. University conducts its own entrance test for admission in the Ph.D. course followed by the university.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have obtained 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of marks/grades are allowed on the basis of the qualifying marks exclusive of the grace mark procedures. OR                                                                                                                            
  • Candidates with an M.Phil. degree and at least a grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate can apply to do research work leading to Ph.D. Degree in the same institution.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit in any of the following National level entrance exams- UGC-NET or GATE or GPAT. Such candidates are exempted from appearing in the internal entrance exam.
  • Interested candidates can also appear in the University Entrance exam if they have not qualified for the above-mentioned national exams.
  • Students would further be shortlisted for PI and GD rounds.

University of Calicut Admission Form 2022

Candidates can submit the Calicut University Application Form 2022 in online mode once it will be released by the university. For admission in PG courses with entrance examination shall visit the University admission website i.e. www.cuonline.ac.in and complete the registration process which is divided into the following two steps: 

Step 01 - CAP ID Creation: 
  • For PG Entrance 2022, candidates have to initially create a CAP ID after providing the basic details using the "New User (Create CAP ID)" link available on the registration page. 
  • After submitting all the details, the authority will send CAP ID and Password on the registered mobile number instantly (Mobile number of students/parents/guardian only to be furnished). 
Step 02- Registration Completion and Making Payment: 
  • With the help of CAP ID and Password received in the registered mobile number, the candidate can log in and fill the registration page by providing the required data. 
  • Candidates are advised to carefully select the reservation category while filling the registration form. 
  • After filling all the details candidates have to click on the " Finalise & Proceed to Payment " button for registration fee payment.

University of Calicut Distance Education

The University of Calicut's School of Distance Education is one of the university's major departments. It was founded in 1981 and has grown to become a significant provider of distance education. The University Grants Commission of India is the institution's parent body. It serves the educational needs of thousands of students from all over the world.

It provides a total of 26 programmes, 14 of which are undergraduate courses and 12 of which are postgraduate studies. The university is making every attempt to reach out to every student in the country. The qualifying examination scores are used to determine admission to the courses.

University of Calicut Distance Education Admission

Students interested in enrolling at the institute can obtain an application form through Calicut University's official website. On the website, you can find the prospectus as well as information on the application fee. Fill out the application form and send it along with the necessary documents to the Director, School of Distance Education.

The steps for submitting an online application form for Calicut University Distance Education are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the School of Distance Education's official website.
Step 2: Select the relevant link under Online Registration.
Step 3: Fill in your personal information, such as your Aadhaar number, e-mail address, and phone number. Sign in with your mobile number after you've completed the signup process.
Step 4: Choose a course and fill out your personal information. The course cannot be changed once it has been chosen, but personal information can be changed until the final submission.
Step 5: Once all of the details have been completed, submit your photos in JPEG format and the papers in PDF format, then click the 'Submit' button.
Step 6: You'll be led to the payment page, where you'll see the details.
Step 7: After a successful submission, print the application form.
Step 8: Send a printout of the application to the Director, University of Calicut, School of Distance Education, Calicut University P.O., Malappuram-673635.

Admission is given only if all eligibility requirements, including basic qualifications and the submission of the required documents, are met. Applications that do not include all of the needed papers will be rejected, and applications submitted after the deadline will be rejected.

University of Calicut Distance Education Study Material

Distance Learning at Calicut University Teachers and professionals in relevant subjects produce study materials. Students will be given study materials through the contact class centres. Copies of each course's study materials are also available on the School of Distance Education's website. If a program's total student enrollment is less than 50, however, study materials will not be offered in printed form.
