Central University of Karnataka Admission 2023

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) offers admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. The admission process for the academic year 2022-2023 is based on the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • Eligible candidates can apply for admission to various programmes, including BA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Tech, MA, M.Sc, M.Ed, and Ph.D., by submitting an online application on the university website. The application fee for the same is INR 800 for General and OBC candidates and INR 350 for SC, ST, PWD, and EWS candidates.
  • The university also provides relaxation in eligibility criteria and reservation of seats as per government norms. Candidates are advised to read the admission brochure carefully before applying for any programme.
  • The admission process for CUK involves various stages, including filling the online application form, appearing for CUET, merit-based admission for some programmes, and document verification.

Admission through CUET in Central University of Karnataka

Admission in all the courses provided by the Central University of Karnataka is purely based on the CUET exam. Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) is conducted by 14 central universities of India. This national-level examination is conducted only once every year. Candidates will have to qualify for the test to get admission into various central universities in undergraduate & post-graduate courses.  

CUK UG And Integrated Programs Admission 2023

The Central University of Karnataka offers 5-year Integrated programs in the disciplines of Science, Engineering, and Humanities. It also offers a standalone program in Management studies. The University invites applications for UG and Integrated Courses in March every academic year.   • In each discipline, 33% of the seats will be filled based on performance in JEE– The main Exam, 33% of the seats will be filled based on performance in the CUET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) and the remaining 34% of the seats will be filled based on performance in the Karnataka State Common Entrance Test.
  • University has a 15% reservation provision in seats for SC, 7% for ST, and 27% for OBC (non-creamy layer). 3% Supernumerary seats are reserved for Kashmiri Migrants,3% for Differently-abled candidates, 1% for NCC/NSS/Sports, and 1% for wards of Defence Personnel.

CUK PG Admission 2023

The Central University of Karnataka offers post-graduation courses in the disciplines of Science, Humanities, Linguistics, Commerce, and Management. Admission to all PG courses will begin in June. The Central University of Karnataka offers also offers research programs in various subjects. Admissions to the research programs begin in June after the CUET exam. Admissions to Ph.D. and M.Phil courses are made through CUET followed by Interviews. Candidates who have cleared UGC/CSIR/DST/MHRD - JRF are exempted from the entrance test and will have to appear for a personal interview. NET/SLET candidates are required to take the entrance test.

Candidates can fill out the application form from the official website. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form from the official website before the due date. No offline applications are accepted by the university. 

Steps to be followed by the candidates:
  • Visit the CUK official website.
  • Click on ‘Apply Online.
  • There are two options-New registration and Already registered users.
  • After that, log in to the official website and enter the asked details.
  • Next, upload the images.
  • Upon clicking on New Registration, a registration window appears.
  • Fill out the registration form and submit it.
  • A user ID and password are sent to the registered mobile number.
  • Login with the login credentials provided and fill out the application form.

  • Upload the scanned copies of documents, photographs, and signatures and submit them. After this, candidates will be directed to the payment page where payment can be made through:

    • Net banking
    • UPI
  • After payment, the final submission of the application will be done.

CUK Scholarships

The Central University of Karnataka offers a variety of scholarship programs and financial aid to eligible students based on merit and need.

  • Fellowships, scholarships, studentships, medals, and prizes are given to deserving students.
  • According to the University's norms, half and full tuition fee-free ships will be offered to each department.
  • Girl students with a parent's annual income of fewer than 8 lakhs and SC/ST students who do not qualify for any other scholarships/fellowships receive a full-tuition price waiver.
  • Merit cum means that a chosen number of integrated and postgraduate students are awarded free cruises.

Central University of Karnataka

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established by an Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009) at Kadaganchi of Aland, Karnataka taluk Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period to address the concerns of ‘equity and access and to increase the access to quality higher education to people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrolment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%. The CUK, with its territorial jurisdiction all over Karnataka, initiated its activities from the academic year beginning August 2009 in keeping with the philosophy of achieving and maintaining the highest levels of academic excellence, sensitivity to equity and access in enrolment and recruitment, and emerging as a premier national educational and research institution in the country.
