Gauhati University B.Ed Admission 2022

At the postgraduate level, Gauhati University offers admission to the B.Ed programme. The minimal requirement for admission is a bachelor's or master's degree with a grade point average of 50 percent (45 percent for reserved categories). Admission is granted on a case-by-case basis.

GUBEDCET is a two-hour paper with 100 multiple-choice questions. The marks achieved in 10+2 and Graduation are given 30% weightage in final admission, whereas the GUBEDCET score is given 70% weightage.

Gauhati University also provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in a variety of fields. The Central Application Process is used for admission (CAP). The minimal requirement for admission is a master's degree in a related discipline with a cumulative grade point average of at least 55 percent.

• Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Technology, Fine Arts, Engineering, Medicine, or other professional subjects with a minimum of 55%.

Gauhati University Ph.D Selection Criteria

Selection is dependent on performance in a university-sponsored admission examination, the Gauhati University Research Eligibility Test (GU-RET). The test is divided into two parts, the first of which assesses general aptitude, computer skills, and reasoning ability, and the second of which assesses subject-specific knowledge.

• Candidates who have passed the CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, DBT-JRF, or comparable exam are free from taking the GU RET. Such candidates are just required to attend the university's interview round.
• Only 50% of the total seats are filled by exempted seats, so if a candidate does not get a place through exempted seats, he or she can take the GU-RET 2022 exam.

The Central Application Process will be used to offer admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil. programmes (CAP). The entrance exam will be administered in a multiple-choice format and will include the following sections:

• For each successful answer, 2 marks will be awarded, while each wrong input will be penalised 0.5 marks in each area of the GU RET.
