Important Points:
- Candidates who are in the final year of the Master‟s degree are also eligible to apply for admission on the provisional basis.
- Doctoral programs provided are of minimum 03 years duration & maximum 06 years. The PwD (more than 40% disability) candidates may be allowed 2 years relaxation in the maximum duration of the programme.

IIFT PhD(Management) Admission 2020 for Part-Time Programmes

For Indian Scholars
- Along with the above mentioned educational requirements, a minimum of 03 years experience is required for the candidate from industry and one year experience is required for the candidate from teaching.
- Applicants of any age can apply, hence there is no age limit.
IIFT PhD Admission 2020 for Overseas Scholars
If a candidate is foreign national then the requirements which he/she have to fulfil for research admission are listed below:
- Overseas candidates those who are having Master‟s/ M.Phil. degree in any discipline from a
recognized university with a minimum aggregate 55% marks or equivalent CGPA can apply only for IIFT’s full-time PhD Programme. - An applicant applying must have a minimum knowledge of spoken and written English is essential.
IIFT New Delhi PhD Admission Procedure 2020
A two-stage process is followed for admission to IIFT PhD Programme. Check the stages below:
Stage 1 - Written Entrance Test
- For Management - comprising of Data Interpretation, Basic Statistics, Logical Reasoning, Basic Mathematics (up to 12th Standard) and the Descriptive Test to judge the writing skill of candidates on a subject-specific contemporary issue.
- For Economics - comprising of Micro & Macro-economics, Statistics, Econometrics & Mathematics (at least up to Graduate Level) and the Descriptive Test to judge the writing skill of candidates on a subject-specific contemporary issue.
Stage 2- Interview
- Those who will qualify in the Written Entrance Test will be called for the Interview.
Note- The written entrance examination and interview will take place both at New Delhi and Kolkata campuses of the Institute.
IIFT PhD Admission 2020 Application Process

- Click on the links given to apply for courses.
- Then a new page will open where a candidate has to fill email id & mobile number for registration.
- After that login with the registered email id & password(sent on mail id).
- Fill the details asked & make the fee payment. Fee once paid will not be refunded by the authority.

- Also along with the form candidates also have to submit the mandatory documents which are listed below:
- Copy of “Statement of Purpose” for the proposed PhD Programme, should be of 4 to 5 pages.
- Self-Attested copies of certificates & mark-sheets of qualifying degrees and other certificates (from SSC level).
- Two letters of recommendation
- At least one example of scholarly research or professional writing.
- SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD/General - EWS category certificate(if applicable)
- Proof of experience for part-time candidates
- Must get the print out of the form for all further uses.
