Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University are a State University constituted in the year 2011. It has established three schools, School of Sanskrit Studies, School of Ancient Studies, and School of Humanities.

Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit University offers a course of the five-year integrated MA program and MA in six specializations. The university also offers a Certificate course in Communicative Sanskrit.

  • Admission in the university is based on the score obtained in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates need to clear the interview before admission in the respective school.
  • Candidates who want to apply for the five-year integrated program in MA Sanskrit must have passed 12 examinations or Prag Upadhi or Prag Sastri in any stream with at least 50% marks.
  • The minimum eligibility criteria for M.A courses are passed in Majors/Honours degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 40% marks.

  • For admission to MA Sanskrit (Sahitya) and MA Sanskrit (Vedic Studies), candidates who have qualified Sastri examination from any recognized university are eligible to apply.

Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit University Integrated MA Sanskrit 2022

The University provides a five-year integrated MA Sanskrit curriculum. The School of Sanskrit Studies is in charge of the programme. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% in aggregate in their 10+2 examination in any stream or Prag Upadhi/ Sastri or equivalent.

Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the last qualifying examination. The final decision is made after an interview, which will take place at the time of admission.

The university offers MA programmes in six areas of study.

Candidates for MA courses must have completed a Majors/Honours degree in the relevant subject or a BA General/Pass with the relevant specialism as one of the main subjects. In the event of a Majors/Honours degree, the minimum eligible marks required to apply are 40% in the aggregate, and in the case of a B.A General/Pass degree, the minimum eligible marks are 45 percent in the aggregate.

  • Candidates can also get the form by depositing a bank draught for the required amount payable at Nalbari in the name of "Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University."
  • Applicants can send a request for an admission form by post, together with a self-addressed envelope measuring 25 cm x 30 cm and a postage stamp of INR 40, as well as a Bank Draft for the required demand.
