The University provides a five-year integrated MA Sanskrit curriculum. The School of Sanskrit Studies is in charge of the programme. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% in aggregate in their 10+2 examination in any stream or Prag Upadhi/ Sastri or equivalent.
Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the last qualifying examination. The final decision is made after an interview, which will take place at the time of admission.

The university offers MA programmes in six areas of study.
Candidates for MA courses must have completed a Majors/Honours degree in the relevant subject or a BA General/Pass with the relevant specialism as one of the main subjects. In the event of a Majors/Honours degree, the minimum eligible marks required to apply are 40% in the aggregate, and in the case of a B.A General/Pass degree, the minimum eligible marks are 45 percent in the aggregate.
