Madhabdev University
Madhabdev University is a state-run public university located in Narayanpur, Assam. The university is founded by Madhabdev University Act , 2017 which was passed on 7 September 2017 by Assam 's parliament. The college offers courses leading to two years H.S, Arts and Science, B.A. & B.Sc. Program in Semester System (six Sernesters). The mediums of lnstruction are both English and Assamese. It was created through the upgrading of the Narayanpur Madhavdev College, North Lakhimpur. On 17 June 2019 Prof. Dr Dibakar Chandra Deka took office as Madhavdev University's first Vice-Chancellor. It is named after Sri Sri Madhavdev, an influential Ekasarana Dharma preceptor known for his loyalty to his guru Srimanta Sankardev.
