MVSU Admission 2023 is on the basis of an entrance exam namely the MVSU Entrance Exam for admission in various courses. Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University is a university established in 2018 by the Government of Haryana at Mundri village of Kaithal district of India. It is 12 km east of Kaithal, 111 km from the state capital Chandigarh, 145 km from Hisar, and 164 km from the NCR.  It offers various UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in its course curriculum. MVSU UG Admission 2023 

Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University provides various undergraduate courses such as BA/BA Hons. and B.Ed courses under its course curriculum. The eligibility criteria for admission BA/BA Hons. is that the candidates must have passed either Uttar Madhyama or Prak–Shastri or equivalent examination with Sanskrit. For B.Ed (Shiksha Shastri) admission, candidates must have passed either Shastri or B.Ed or equivalent examination with Sanskrit which is a one year course. The duration of the BA course is 3 years.   •  A student who has passed either Uttar Madhyama or Prak–Shastri or equivalent examination with Sanskrit may be admitted to Shastri, which is a three-year course. This corresponds to B.A.(Hons) in Sanskrit in modern education.

Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University PG Admission 2023

Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University provides postgraduate courses such as MA (Acharya) and M.Ed (Shiksha-Acharya) in its course curriculum. The duration of the course is 2 years. The eligibility criteria for admission in the MA course is that the candidates must have passed Shastri or B.A. with Sanskrit may be admitted to Acharya, which corresponds to M.A. but is restricted to specialization in a particular Shastra. For admission in M.Ed candidates must have done Shiksha-Shastri/B.Ed with Sanskrit as teaching Subject with 55% marks in aggregate and in practical and theory min 50% in each part (5% concession for SC/ST). Admission to this course will be strictly based on the merit list of selected candidates in the Pre-Shiksha Acharya test.

Note:
For Admission in MA:
  • Candidates who have passed B.A. with Sanskrit or Vedalankar / Vakyalankar may be allowed to take Sahitya or Dharma Shastra or Sankhya Yoga or Phalit Jyotish or Karma Kanda at Acharya level. B.A. (Sanskrit) with Philosophy may take Advait Vedanta.
  • Candidates having passed B.A. (Hons.) in Sanskrit may be allowed to take Veda or Vyakarana or Sahitya or Dharma Shastra or Sankhya Yoga or Phalit Jyotish or karma Kanda at Acharya level.
  • B.A./B. Sc. with Sanskrit having Astronomy as one of the subjects, will be allowed to take Siddhanta Jyotish at Acharya level.
  • Candidates who have passed Acharya in one subject or have done M.A. in Sanskrit will be allowed to offer any subject at Acharya level other than Siddhanta Jyotish, Veda, Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakaran, and Mimamsa. However, an Acharya in Phalit Jyotish, Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakaran may be admitted in Siddhanta Jyotish, Prachin Nyaya, and Vyakaran and vice –versa.
For Admission in M.Ed:
  • Presently the facilities for the study of Shiksha-Acharya course are available at the Jaipur campus of the Sansthan only. There are only 25 seats available for this course. 

MVSU Admission 2023 Ph.D. and D.Litt Program

Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University offers Ph.D. and D.Litt for 3 years. The eligibility criteria are that the candidates must have passed Shastri and Acharya or equivalent examination with Sanskrit may be admitted to Vidya Varidhi or at least "55% marks" obtained in Acharya or an M.A. from the Sansthan or any other recognized University", for taking Admission to Vidya-Varidhi. The selection is based on the merit list of entrance tests for which separate guidelines are available in Sansthan. The other details related to admission in Ph.D. and D.Litt. can be found below:

  • The Vidya-Varidhi (Ph.D.) Degree of the Sansthan or an equivalent degree in Sanskrit, Pali, or Prakrit or in any related discipline (e.g. Linguistics, Ancient Indian Culture and History, Indian Religion and Philosophy, Education, Ayurveda, etc.) from any other recognized University.
  • A combined Entrance Test is being conducted for Shiksha Shastri, Shiksha Acharya, and Vidya Varidhi Courses.

MVSU Admission 2023 Application Form

Candidates can fill the form both online and offline mode. They need to follow these steps to fill the form for admission in various courses of MVSU:

Online Mode:
  • Candidates must visit the MVSU official website.
  • Then application forms can be downloaded there.
  • Fill the application form and attach the necessary documents.
  • The documents submitted online must be first attested.
  • Pay the application fee from net banking or debit/credit cards.
  • Submit the application form
Offline Mode:
  • Candidates can go in person and take the application from the office of the university or download the application form from the official website.
  • Then fill the application form.
  • Attach the necessary documents which must be self-attested.
  • Pay the application fee through DD/Challan in favor of the name of the university.
  • Send the application form through post or submit it in person at the University's office.
