NLSIU Admission 2023 dates have been extended. The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has extended the registration deadline for NLSAT 2023. Candidates can now apply up to March 29. The entrance examination is going to be conducted on April 24 from 2 PM onwards. The admission is on the basis of candidate scores in the CLAT exam. National Law School of India University offers UG & PG courses such as B.A., LL.B., LLM, and MA. NLSIU also offers advance research-level courses like Ph.D., M.Phil. and LL.D. This University was established in the year 1986 and has also adopted the method of distance education for certain courses. It offers postgraduate diploma courses in intellectual property rights law, medical law and ethics, environmental law, child rights law, consumer law & practice and cyber law & cyber forensics, human rights law. NLSIU B.ALL.B Admission 2023 

National Law School Of India University(NLSIU) offers a B.A.LL.B course in the form of 5 years integrated undergraduate course. The eligibility is that the candidates must have completed 10+2 exams with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in aggregate for reserved category from a recognized Board. And also not completed 20 years of age as of 1st July of the year of admission (For SC/ ST candidates the age limit is 22). The selection is based on CLAT scores. NLSIU MPP & LL.M Admission 2023 

National Law School Of India University(NLSIU) offers postgraduate courses like Master’s in Public Policy and LLM in its curriculum. The eligibility criteria for MPP admission is that the candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a recognized University. For LL.M admission candidates must have completed LL.B or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks for General/ OBC/ SAP candidates and 50% for SC/ ST categories. The selection for LL.M is based on performance in CLAT exams and for MPP it is based on the PAT exam and Personal Interview. Exam Pattern of PAT 
  • The Policy Aptitude test has two parts. The first part is a multi-choice section with negative marking. In the first part, every question carries 1 mark and negative marking will be of 0.25 marks. Candidates securing 40% marks in the first part will be considered for the second part.
  • The second part will be descriptive-analytical writing about any policy issue. This part is of 50 marks. The total marks for PAT are 150. PAT will have a total duration of 2 hours

  • LL.M. Business Laws: 35
  • LL.M. Human Rights Laws: 15

NLSIU M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2023 

National Law School Of India University(NLSIU) offers M.Phil and Ph.D. programs in different specializations. The eligibility for the courses is that the candidates must have completed a Master's Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University. PhD (Law)

Candidate with a Master's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University are eligible to apply.

A candidate who has passed the Company Secretaryship examination conducted by the ICS in India along with degree awarded by Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) is eligible to apply.

Candidates that have passed the Chartered Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants along with a bachelor's degree in law with 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.

Note: Candidates can apply for either the PhD Degree (Law) or the Ph.D. Degree (inter-disciplinary).
Entrance Exam pattern:

The test will consist of the following:

  • Objective type questions on Research Aptitude: 50 marks.
  • Contemporary development in the field of law and society: 50 marks.
  • Specific questions in Law/ MBL/ MPP/ other disciplines: 50 marks.
  • Candidates that are successful in the written test will be required to make an oral presentation in front of a panel of experts.

NLSIU LL.D Admission 2023

NLSIU offers a Doctorate of Law for the candidates who want to pursue advanced studies/ research in the field of Law. The eligibility criteria are that the candidates must have completed Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 years of Teaching and exceptional academic achievement in the field of Law or Ph.D. (regular) in any discipline from any recognized university in India or abroad with relevant experience/expertise in the field. NLSIU Admission 2023 Application Procedure

Candidates can follow these steps to fill the application form of NLSIU courses:

For B.A.LL.B course:

  • Candidates will first have to log in to the CLAT website and fill up the online form.
  • Candidates will also have to upload self-attested copies of all the required documents.
  • Students have to pay the admission fee online using net banking, debit card or credit cards

Application Fee

The application fee for the BALL.B course can be found below:

  • For General/ OBC/ SAP and other category candidates: Rs. 4000/-
  • For SC/ ST candidates: Rs. 4000/-
  • Candidates can also get the previous year’s question papers for practice. But they have to pay a fee of Rs. 400/- for it.

For M.Phil. and Ph.D.

  • Candidates are required to apply along with the research proposal of about 10 to 12 pages.
  • Candidates can download the application form from the university official website.

Application Fee

  • Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 3000/-.
