SSU Sikkim Admission Process 2023
The university offers online and offline application mode, for which application fees are to be charged online and offline mode. Candidates are advised to visit the website. Candidates qualifying the examination get admission to the university. Candidates should follow the process for SSU Sikkim online admission given below.
Online mode
- Students have to visit the SSU Sikkim official website.
- After the clicking registration form.
- Students have to fill that form with all their details.
- Check before the submission of the registration form.
- After that click on the click on the submit button.
- It will take a few mins to download.
- An applicant has to pay the amount for registration.
- After a successful registration applicant takes some print out of the application form.
Admit Card
Candidates can check vital information regarding Sikkim University admit card 2023 is given below.
- The University will be releasing the admit card for 2023 admissions a few days before the entrance exam.
- The admit card will release in online mode only.
- Candidates can download the admit cards from the official website of the University.
- Candidates have to enter their login Id to download the admit card.
- Also, the applicants should check out all the details, including the photograph is visible on the e-Admit card or not.
- Without the admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
Entrance Exam Pattern
The details regarding the Exam Pattern for UG/PG/M. Phil and PhD are given below:
UG/ PG Programmes:
- CAT(Common Admission Test) will be conducted for the students for admissions into UG/PG programmes.
- Duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
- The total marks for the test shall be 100 marks out of which a candidate has to score 50 % to qualify in the CAT
- CAT shall be held at five test venues namely Gangtok, Siliguri, Guwahati, Namchi (South Sikkim) and Geyzing (West Sikkim).
M.Phil and PhD Programmes:
- Admission to the Doctoral programs is done through a written test followed by an interview conducted by the university
- Candidates scoring 50 % in written examination will be called for interview.
Counselling
The university will begin SSU Sikkim 2023 counselling for all eligible students. Candidates are expected to attend the counselling round on the date specified at the venue to ensure their admission. Candidates will carry along the original copies of the aforementioned documents along with their self-tested photocopies. On the day of SSU Sikkim counselling, they would also have to bring a hardcopy of the online application form

- Conduct Certificate from the institution last studied
- Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied community Certificate
- Migration Certificate(CBSC/ICSE/Other Board/State /Open Schooling)

- Applicants claiming reservation under NCC/ Sports/ PH/ CAP/ Minorities shall bring the original certificate

Sikkim State University
The Sikkim State University established by an Act of Sikkim Legislative Assembly in 2003 amended in 2017. The Headquarter of the university is Tadong, Gangtok, East Sikkim. The university became operational with on 6th July 2018 and became functional with the opening of the Department of Nepali at the Sikkim State University Campus and the Department of Sanskrit at the Government Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya, Samdong, East Sikkim. In the next academic session, the university may have some more skill-oriented departments including Sikkim Organic Study Centre.
