Fifteen percent of the total seats are earmarked for ICAR Quota over and above 150 seats (85% for local students and 15% for unreserved merit).
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects.
- Physical Sciences
- Biological or Natural Sciences
Criteria for selection:
- The seats under ICAR quota are filled by ICAR, based on the performance in the written examination and choice of the students.
- The selection of candidates for all the seats, except those reserved for I.C.A.R Quota and in-service candidates shall be made based on ranks obtained by the candidates in the EAMCET in their respective local areas from out of the intermediate merit lists prepared for this purpose. The candidates will be selected based on merit, Presidential order, region, and social status.
- In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the EAMCET, the age shall be taken into consideration and the older candidate shall be given the seat. In case of a tie in both the ranks and age, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the Qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration.

- 25% of seats are earmarked for ICAR Quota over and above the University seats.
- The selection for M.sc (Hort.) level program based on the previous academic records at undergraduate level and performance based on ICAR-AIEEA-PG marks would be in the ratio of 40:60 (40% for UG marks and 60% for ICAR marks. The qualifying marks in the entrance test shall be 50% for general and OBC and 25% for SC and ST. The rule of the reservation shall be followed as per the Telangana Government.

Counselling
