WBSU UG Application Process 2023
The application form can be filled online by following the below-listed steps:
- Visit the WBSU official website.
- Fill the application form and submit.
- After the online submission of the application, a copy of the application is required to be downloaded.
- The printed copy of the downloaded application along with relevant supporting documents (self-attested) and e-receipt is required to be submitted to the concerned section of WBSU.
- Application Fee of Rs 300 (Rs 150 for SC/ST/PWD) can be paid through the Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) i.e., Internet Banking of all Banks, ATM-cum-Debit/Credit Card of all banks, by Cash/Cheque or through SBI Challan.
WBSU PG Admission 2023
The West Bengal State University offers MA, M.Sc, M.Com & MRS courses in full-time mode. Graduation in the cognate discipline with at least 50% marks is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. The selection is made strictly in order of merit based on the percentage of marks for 60% of seats for WBSU students and rest 40% of seats based on subject-wise Entrance Test for Other University students and home university students including back years. After online form submission, the candidates need to retain the printed copy of the application form. The candidates have to submit this application form along with supporting documents (self-attested) to the PG section of WBSU. WBSU Ph.D. Admission 2023
At the doctoral level, the West Bengal State University offers a Ph.D. course in various departments. The number of students to be admitted to the Ph.D. course in a subject or an interdisciplinary field is decided by the respective Board of Research Studies. To get admission to the doctoral program, candidates need to hold a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (50% marks for the reserved categories). Admission to Ph.D. is offered based on an entrance examination (RET) for each discipline followed by a viva-voce. Candidates with a valid score in NET/ SET/ GATE /or M.Phil degree are exempted from the Admission Test. WBSU Ph.D. Application Process 2023
Download the application form from the official website of WBSU. Fill the application form and pay the application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500) in cash or through DD drawn in favor of ‘West Bengal State University’ payable at Barasat, Kolkata. Send the duly filled application form along with fee and required documents to the respective department of the university.

Placements
The training and placement cell at WBSU was started in 2009 to impart training to students such that they can get placed. The cell works in close coordination with the Department of Computer Science and Electronics. The cell provides 80-hours training to train them on how to crack interviews with private firms. Some of the key recruiters are TCS, Larsen & Toubro, Srei Sahaj E-Village Ltd., Tatwa & Limtex, Nicco Ventures, SRF Ltd, Tech Mahindra, and many more.
- About 30 Students have been positioned through direct campus recruitment.
- Roughly 50 students have been assigned after giving training on the dedicated area.
- The aggregate of 20 students has been assigned in the off-campus approach.
WBSU Result
WBSU releases the exam result in a semester system divided into Odd and Even semesters as part of its evaluation process. Candidates appearing in WBSU exams can download WBSU Part I and Part II admit card from its official examination page. The students have to click on the ‘Show’ button after entering the registration number.
The result will be confirmed on the official website of the university. Applicants can check their result by entering the application number and date of birth. The result does not be sent to any candidate separately. The university will release the merit list on grounds of marks obtained by the candidates in the exam. Applicants will be called for counseling on the base of their ranks.
West Bengal State University
West Bengal State University (WBSU) is a public university situated in Berunanpukuria. The university is situated at 07 km off from Barasat city (the district headquarters of North 24 Parganas), Kolkata, North 24 Paraganas, West Bengal, India. All the 55 colleges (including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and B.Ed) in the district of North 24 Parganas, which were formerly affiliated with the University of Calcutta, are affiliated to this university. The Government of West Bengal through an Act of the Legislative Assembly has passed West Bengal Act XXVIII, 2007 implementing a long-standing public demand in creating the university named West Bengal State University at Barasat, North 24 Paraganas. This became functional from the academic session 2008–09. On 26 May 2008, there were 63 colleges formerly affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The University began functioning under its first Vice-Chancellor Ashoke Ranjan Thakur, the erstwhile Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Jadavpur University.
