UCEK is one of the best college in Trivandrum and I wouldn't want you to think twice before choosing it.
Admission Experience:
I gave the KEAM entrance examination and gave this college while during the option registration. Then I was allotted to the college when the allotment results came. I was intimated from the college from time to time thereafter to update me with every step and details of the admission process. I then reached the college on the given date and filled up forms, paid my fees and the faculties and seniors helped us with every step and made the process easier.
Placement Experience:
We have an enthusiastic Career Guidance and placement cell solely devoted to prepare us for campus interviews and recruitments and also guide us in deciding our future endeavors. They provide us with every resources and training so as to face interviews with grace and that every student gets an opportunity to bring out the best in them at the same time also to analyze our weaknesses and work upon sharpening them. Every year a lions share of the our students gets placed via these campus selections. Giant companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, UST Global, Speridian, IBM, IBS and many more visit our college every year to snatch the top contenders from every batch. The proximity to the Technopark plays a pivotal role in bringing more and more job as well internships.
Conclusion:
Our college is the only college under the Kerala University which provides quality education following a a very relevant syllabus, with the students given provisions to explore more than just academics, helping in the overall development of the student's career. The faculties are well read and supportive and they really help us to clear concepts very well. We have access to a huge library with many gem of a books, central Wi-Fi, College bus and store. There is a post office, SBI Bank and Health Centre also inside the campus. Our college hosts fests like Snigdha, RenVnza happen annually to boost both extra curricular and technical abilities of the students. Various clubs like Developer Students Club, IEDC, IEEE etc conducts various workshops, classes and hackathons to give you real time exposure to the changing trends of the tech market. The college lacks it's own hostel but it wouldn't be much of an issue since the accomodation can be managed by the plenty trust worthy hostels and PG's in and around the locality.
