Admission through CUCET in Central University of Punjab

Central Universities Common Entrance Test is an national level entrance exam conducted jointly by 14 central universities. CUCET is conducted for admission in various undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses offered in all the participating institutions. CUCET test is conducted once a year in offline mode (pen & paper) for the duration of two hours. Along with the central universities, Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) is also a participating institute for the exam. 

Central University of Punjab PhD Admission 2023 

At the doctoral level, CUP provides various range of PhD programs under various courses in different streams. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with minimum 60% marks for UR category candidates & there will be a 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates.

  • Candidates working in CUP Research Projects and those holding Financial Assistance from Govt. of India/Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF)/Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) etc. must pass the written entrance test as well as the interview.
  • The valid UGC/CSIR/ASRB-NET, ICMR-JRF, GATE, GPAT, DBT-BET & JEST (Physics), Qualified candidates will be exempted from the test, however, they have to apply in the CUCET 2023 and appear in the interview.
  • Those who will qualify for the exam will be called for an interview round for documents verification.

How to Apply for Central University of Punjab Admission 2023?

CPU Bhatinda comes in the count of best private universities amongst India. It provides strict rules and codes of conduct for filling up the admission application forms. A Candidate can fill up the admission application forms using the Online and Offline method both.

Online Mode of Application

A candidate needs to follow these steps line by line to fill up the application forms by online method.

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Then click on the "Apply Now 2023" tab.
  3. The form window appears on the screen.
  4. Fill up all the necessary details.
  5. Attach the scanned copies of the documents required.
  6. Ensure to click the "Submit " option present at the end of the form section.
  7. To deposit the admission application fee either use a credit card or debit card or net banking or any other alternative mentioned in the form.
Offline Mode of Application

A student needs to fill up the forms in offline mode by following these steps.

  1. Visit the university.
  2. Go to the head office.
  3. Collect a print of the application form for the courses concerned.
  4. Then fill in all the details carefully.
  5. Carry all the essential documents along with you.
  6. Attach copies of documents.
  7. Positively submit the application form to the respective departments concerned.
  8. Pay the admission application fee either using cash or another method if applicable.
