How to check Chandigarh University Result 2020?

Chandigarh University Result is announced just after the successful completion of the University Semester examination. A student shall be considered qualified if he/she secured minimum passing marks in the examination. The grade shall be awarded to the marks obtained in each paper using Normal Distribution, without any subjectivity. The University also conducts the supplementary examinations for those who will fail in the exam. Candidates should follow these steps to check and download the result of various courses:

Chandigarh University Result 2020 Revaluation / Re-totaling Of Answer Books

The university gives an opportunity to the examinees to apply for revaluation/re-totalling/ photocopy of answer books immediately after the announcement of the result on payment of a prescribed fee.

• The final semester examination evaluation would be done through Table Marking at the University.
• 10% of the answer books shall be randomly evaluated by outside experts.
• The decision of the Evaluation Review Board shall be final and binding.
• If the increase in marks recommended by the board is more than 10% of the maximum marks, the fee submitted shall be refunded to the students.
• Final Internal Evaluation shall be displayed by the departments/Institutes before the submission to the University.
• The total marks of Internal and External Examination shall be submitted to the Registrar Office for conversion into grades based.
• A student getting less than 35% of the highest marks obtained in the class shall be awarded ‘F’ grade & getting more than 50% of the highest marks shall not get ‘F’ Grade.
• The final grades of the semester will be displayed along with SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) at the time of declaration of results.

Chandigarh University Promotion to Next Year & Demotion to Back Year

For Undergraduate Courses

• A student will be promoted only if, at the end of the first year he/she secures CGPA of 3.5 or more or earns 40% of the credits offered in the first year, similarly at the end of 2nd year. He/she secures CGPA of greater than or equal to 4.50 or earns 40% of the credits offered during Ist and IInd year. Lateral Entry students are treated as second-year students. Students who are unable to fulfil the minimum requirement of CGPA shall lose one year.

For Post-graduate Courses

In the case of Post Graduation, minimum required CGPA at the end of the first year is 4.50 or earning of 40% credits offered in the first year. Students who are unable to fulfil this requirement shall lose one year.

The supplementary examination is organised for all those who fail in a paper. The supplementary exam is conducted for both regular and private courses. To appear in the supplementary exam, candidates need to submit the application form and the requisite fees on or before the last date. The university will publish its result on the official website.
