DHWU M.Phil. And PhD. Admission 2023
The university also offers M.Phil and PhD degrees at the research level. The candidates wanting to apply should have done Masters with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale. The selection in M. Phil. will be done on the basis of written exam and viva voce. The selection in PhD will be done on the basis of RET followed by interview. - Candidates who will apply for both M.Phil. and PhD courses will have to apply through separate forms.
- The course fees of M.Phil. would be Rs. 4000/- and for PhD, it would be Rs. 5000/-.
PhD. Admissions
- UGC NET/SLET/SET/GATE or any other equivalent examination qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in RET and can appear in the interview.
- M.Phil. qualified candidates (in the concerned subject) under UGC regulation 2009 would be exempted from appearing for RET and will be considered for appearing before the interview board.
- The candidates who have qualified NET/SLET/SET/GATE or any other equivalent examinations and qualified M.Phil. in the concerned subject under UGC regulation 2009 and who have qualified RET, will have to appear in the interview with the research proposal of 1000 words.
- The interview will be of 50 marks.
M.Phil. Admissions
- NET/SET/SLET examination qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in the written examination.
- The minimum qualifying marks for appearing in Viva-voce is 25 marks which is 50% of the total marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC/differently-abled).

Candidates can apply for admission at Diamond Harbour Women’s University via both online and offline mode. Candidates can check the steps to apply for admission from the following points:
ONLINE
- Make the payment of the registration fees in the online mode.
- Then take the print out of the online transaction acknowledgement receipt and keep it for future reference.
- After the generation of challan, take a print out of this Bank Challan.
- Now visit any IDBI bank branch 48 banking hours after taking a print out of the Challan.
OFFLINE (through Bank Challan)
- Click on the application form link through which you want to fill the application form.
- Fill all the details required for submitting the form.
- The registration fees of Rs. 300/- can be paid in online as well as in offline mode.
- The Bank Challan has three parts:
The bank will keep the bank copy, the candidate will get to keep the applicant’s copy and the third copy of this University has to be submitted to the university on the admission day if he/she will be called for the interview. - Now, after filling the form, save it and take a print out of the Bank Challan (if the payment is made offline), online payment acknowledgement receipt slip (if the payment is made online) and the complete form.
