This university was formerly known as Siddhu Kanhu University was established in 1992 by a Bihar Legislative Assembly Act and is a public university located in Dumka, Jharkhand. SKMU Admission 2023 Vocational Course

Students pursuing an Undergraduate or Postgraduate program from Sido Kanhu Murmu University can download SKMU Exam Hall Ticket as per their program. students can access via online mode and get SKMU Admit Card as it is a mandatory document to carry in the examination hall. Having no valid admit card students cannot appear in the examination. Students can download the admit card from the official website from going to the student login tab. Sido Kanhu Murmu University
The former Sido Kanhu University (S.K.U.), now renamed Sido Kanhu Murmu University (S.K.M.U), was established by the Bihar Legislative Assembly act on 10 January 1992. The University came under the Jharkhand government when in the year 2000 the new Jharkhand state was formed. On 31 May 2007, the University was granted recognition under section 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 by the University Grants Commission. The University's jurisdiction stretches over the six Santhal Pargana districts, where its 13 constituent and 9 permanently affiliated colleges are located. The University is a tribute to the two legendary Santhal freedom fighters, Sido Murmu and Kanhu Murmu, who led the popularly known as Santhal Hul rebellion against the repression of British colonial rule in 1855 long before India's First War of Independence in 1857.
