Sido Kanhu Murmu University, formerly Siddhu Kanhu University, is a public university situated in the indigenous peoples' dominated area of Santhal Parganas region of Jharkhand state in eastern India. The established Year of the University is 1992. The chancellor of the University is Draupadi Murmu. Currently, Sido Kanhu Murmu University has a total of 15 Affiliated Colleges, 13 Constituent Colleges, 14 affiliated B.Ed. Colleges and one affiliated Engineering College. The jurisdiction of SKMU extends over the six districts of Santhal Pargana where its 13 constituent and 9 permanently affiliated colleges are located. SKM University has fully functional units of NCC and NSS in the colleges.
