Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree programs to its candidates in five different branches namely, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering.
The duration for all the B.Tech programs is four years. For the B.Tech program, the total number of seats allocated is 720 (annually). Admission to the B.Tech program is carried out by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) through the national-level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains). For the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU), candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh need to appear.
Additionally, applicants must have passed the 10 + 2 level examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or its alternative with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with either Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology as optional subjects. Admission to the M.Tech program is carried out jointly by the Indian Institute of Science ( IISC) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) through the Graduate Aptitude Technical Examination (GATE). In the AP State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, applicants who belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh should appear. For all the M.Tech programs, the duration is two years. For the M.Tech program, the total number of seats allocated is 162. However, a B.Tech/ B.E./ AMIE/ B.Arch / B.Planning/ M.Sc/ MCA degree or any other degree deemed comparable must be held by potential candidates for admission to the M.Tech program.
