ELIGIBILITY FOR WRITING THE TEST
- Candidates must have Indian citizenship.
- They must belong to Andhra Pradesh state.
- Besides this, candidates must have completed their Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant field having a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) from an institution that is UGC/ AICTE approved and is recognized by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
- Furthermore, candidates pursuing their B. Tech or its equivalent / B.Pharm. the course will be eligible for entry into the relevant M.E./M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy/ Pharm.D(PB) courses only if they have completed their undergraduate degree till the Counselling Date.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION INTO M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Pharm./Pharm.D(PB):
- Candidates need to appear and qualify AP PGECET 2021 test paper relevant to the course in which they want to take admission.
- Admission to 85% of the seats in each course will be reserved for the local candidates and the
remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved - While filling up the seats in colleges, first preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE / GPAT in the relevant based on their test scores and the preference for remaining seats to the candidates who will qualify AP PGECET 2021 according to their merit ranks.

Andhra University
Andhra University was established in 1926 by the Madras Act of 1926. The 94-year-old institution has Sir C.R. Reddy as its founder Vice-Chancellor. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education was established on 20 May 1988 through Act 16 of 1988 to advise the Government relating to Higher Education in the state and its development with planning.
