The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is a common entrance exam for candidates who want admission to undergraduate programmes of all IITs and ISM Dhanbad. For eligible in JEE (Advanced), the candidates have to first appear in the JEE (Main) conducted by JEE Apex Board, in the month of January or April. JEE(Advanced) is conducted by IITs in June. Only Top 1,50,000 scorers in JEE (Main), which includes students from all categories (GE, OBC (NCL), SC, ST and PD) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced). The JEE (Advanced) consists of two objective type papers. Each paper has question from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Duration of each paper will be three hours. JEE Advanced Question papers will be available in both English and Hindi language.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level entrance examination conducted by all the IITs and IISc to identify brilliant and motivated candidates for admission in Post-graduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy. Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE)

The Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) is an admission test for five year integrated Masters of Arts (M.A) course in the various disciplines such as English Studies and Development Studies. Class 12th passed candidates from whole India can apply for admission into this programme. This unique and innovative master level course started in 2007-08 is available only in IIT Madras.

IIT Madras MBA Admissions 2023

Given below is the eligibility criteria for admission in MBA course at IIT Chennai:

Candidates with graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (of all the years/semesters) or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying bachelor degree.
A relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent will be granted in CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50 on a 10-point scale) for the SC/ST candidates.

IT Madras MBA Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on a valid CAT Exam score. Only those candidates who are shortlisted by the respective institute will be invited for the interview process (the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview). Foreign Candidates must have valid GMAT Score for admission in the MBA program.

Graduates in any specialization with a valid CAT score and minimum of two years work experience can apply under sponsored category through proper channel.

Shortlisted candidates for the interview process will be announced at the official portal. After this, candidates have to upload copies of some important certificates. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the overall composite score. The composite score depends on:

The interview process will be conducted in five cities which are given below
