Candidates belonging to the “General” caste category must now pass their matriculation (10th) and inter examination (12th) from the state of Jharkhand in order to be eligible to appear for the JTET 2023. This exam is for applicants who are seeking a career in Teaching. The exam will be conducted in two stages. It is conducted annually at the state level. - Candidates will also be provided with the form correction facility.
- The details filled in by the candidate in the application form will be verified by the authority at the time of selection.

JTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check their eligibility before applying for the Jharkhand TET exam 2023. Given below is the JTET 2023 Eligibility in detail.:
For class I-V (Paper I)
- Applicants must have passed in Senior Secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 45 % marks and passed or appearing in the final 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education from any recognized board or university.
- Candidates must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50 % marks and passed or appearing in the final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from any recognized board or university.
- Applicants must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks and passed or appearing in the final 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates with BA / B.Sc. degrees with at least 50% marks and B.Ed qualifications can also apply for JTET.
For Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II)
- Applicants must have a Graduation Degree and appear in the final 2 years D.Ed can apply.
- Candidates have a Graduation Degree with a minimum of 50% per cent marks and must have passed/appeared in B.Ed.
- Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed can apply for JTET.
- A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with a minimum of 40% in BA or B.Sc are eligible for JAC TET 2023.

JTET 2023 Preparation Tips

- 2: For Maths & Science teachers, chalk out a separate study plan with included hours to study every day. Practice more and more numerical in as lesser time.
- 3: For Social Science teachers, it is important to take down short notes in subjects such as history and geography. Make a proper note. These notes can also be utilized later during the last few days as learning resources to revise whatever one has studied.

JTET 2023 Answer Key
The Commission will publish the official answer keys of the JTET 2023 after the exam has been conducted. In terms of the official answer keys, the provisional keys are released first following which, the final answer keys are released after the objection schedule. - Conventionally, the Commission releases the provisional answer keys first.
- Candidates must download the answer key and thoroughly compare it with their answers. Also, with the help of it, they can calculate the expected marks of the exam.
- There are provisions to raise an objection against answers that the candidates don’t find satisfactory. It is however mandatory to provide supporting academic evidence to justify the objections raised.
- The JAC releases the final answer keys after evaluating the objections and making any necessary changes to the provisional answer keys.
- The authority will not accept the objections against the final answer keys.

JTET 2023 Selection Process
JTET 2023 Selection Process will conduct after the declaration of the result based on the Jharkhand TET score and the eligibility criteria.
- Jharkhand TET exam will consist of two papers, the first one is for primary class (from class I-V) and the second paper is conducted for Upper Primary class (From class VI-VIII).
- Applicants who will score a minimum of 60% will be considered as selected and for SC/ST candidates the cut-off score is 52%.

About Jharkhand Academic Council
The Jharkhand state came into existence on the 15th of November,2000. An Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), the Jharkhand State Legislature was established and assented to by the honorable Governor of the State on 26.02.2003 and notified by the government on 04.03.2003, which is known also as Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2002. The JAC (Jharkhand Academic Council) was constituted by the HRD Department Government of Jharkhand Vide Notification No. 6/V0-101/012491 dated 02-09-2003.
