PUCET UG 2020 will not be conducted this year by Punjab University (PU). It is conducted for admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) and B. Pharmacy at PU campus. Now, admission into these courses will be on the basis of the merit of class 12th. Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) is an entrance test organized at the University Level in offline pen-paper based. PUCET UG is conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh and is conducted annually. This entrance test is conducted to provide admission to the aspiring and eligible candidates in Under Graduate courses such as B.Pharmacy and B.Sc. (Hons.). Candidates can apply through online mode. PUCET (UG) 2020 Counselling

Panjab University under graduation 2020 Counselling will be conducted through online mode.
  • The counselling will comprise of three rounds.
  • The candidate needs to fill their course preference online.

The following steps need to be completed by the candidate to complete the counselling process– Filling the admission form, choice locking and reporting to the institute.

  • The seat will be allotted to the candidate as per their name in the merit list.
  • Also, the candidates need to take their documents with them for the document verification process.

The documents to be carried during counselling are:

  • Counselling letter
  • PUCET (UG) 2020 Admit Card
  • Medical Certificate
  • Class X and XII mark sheets
  • Category certificate (if applicable), etc.

PUCET (UG) 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates need to carefully go through the PU UnderGraduation common entrance test (UG) 2020 Eligibility Criteria before they start filling their application form as it is very important to ensure the eligibility first otherwise the application of the candidate might get cancelled at a later stage.   • Nationality Criteria: The candidate can be an Indian citizen/NRI/students from abroad.
  • Qualification Required For B.Pharma Aspirants: 50% Marks in 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognised as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subject:- Biology/ Biotechnology.
  • Qualification Required For B.Sc (Hons.) Aspirants: Should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects. 
  • Minimum Marks Requirement: The candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks (SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates – 45% marks).
  • Compulsory Subjects: The candidate who is applying need to have cleared 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, English subjects and anyone from Mathematics/ Biotechnology, Biology subjects.

PUCET (UG) 2020 Admit Card

PUCET UG 2020 Admit Card will be available for download on the official website. The details about PUCET UG Admit Card 2020 are given in this section hereby:

  • The admit card will be issued only to those candidates who have completed the registration process on time.
  • The candidates will have to enter their Login ID and Password to download the Hall Ticket. 
  • The university will not be responsible for sending the hard copy of the admit card to the candidate.

PUCET (UG) 2020 Syllabus

PUCET (UG) 2020 Syllabus will be from 11th and 12th class topics from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology subjects.

Following is the detailed subject wise exam syllabus:

  • Physics:

Physical-world and measurement, kinematics, the law of motions, work energy and power, motion of systems and particles and rigid body gravitation, properties of bulk matter, thermodynamics behaviour of perfect gas and kinetic theory and oscillation and waves, etc.

  • Chemistry:

Some of the basic concept of chemistry, the structure of an atom, classifications of element and periodicity in properties, chemical bonding and molecular structure, hydrogen, S-blocks elements, organic chemistry- some basic principle and techniques, thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions, hydrocarbons etc.

  • Biology:

Diversity in the living world, the structural organization in animals and plants, cell structure and functions, plant physiology, human anatomy and physiology, etc.

  • Mathematics:

Sets, relation and functions, the principle of mathematical induction, binomial theorem, sequence and series, conic sections, introduction to three- dimensional geometry, limits and derivatives, mathematical reasoning, statics and probability etc.

PUCET (UG) 2020 Preparation Tips

  • The answer key will be released through online mode after the few days of the completion of the exam.
  • The answer key will be released after the successul conduction of examination.
  • The candidates can have the estimate of their score in the exam by tallying the answers given in the answer key.
  • If a candidate is not satisfied with his/her result he/she will be provided with a photocopy of his/her answer sheet to verify after the payment of Rs.10,000/- within 10 days after the declaration of the Entrance Test result and the office should process the whole procedure within three working days. 
  • In case, a discrepancy is found in the result by the candidate, the result would accordingly be revised and the fee deposited will be refunded.

PUCET (UG) 2020 Cut Off

  • PUCET Under graduation 2020 Cut Off is the minimum marks which the candidate needs to secure to be eligible for the counselling process.
  • The General category candidates need to score 15% marks and SC/ST/PWD/BC candidates need to score 10% of the total marks to qualify for the counselling round.
  • The admission will be offered to the candidate based on final merit list which will be prepared by combining 75% weightage given to PUCET (UG) written test percentile score + 25% weightage given to class 12th marks + weight for other activities.
