SCERT Odisha 2023 admit card has been released on the official website. SCERT Odisha 2023 application process has ended, the last date to apply for the application is 27 June 2023. SCERT (State Council Of Educational Research & Training) will be conducted by the Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT, Government of Odisha. The exams admit the eligible candidates in B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.H.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.Phil courses. The exam is held once every year at the State Level.  The admission is granted based on scores obtained in the entrance exam and fulfilling of the eligibility criteria. SCERT Odisha 2023 application form will be made available on the official website.

  • Candidates are advised to read the information given on the application form carefully.
  • The applicant will have to first register themselves online by entering the basic information.
  • On completing the registration process candidates will receive a system-generated OTP.
  • Fill in the required details in the online application form.
  • Candidate has to make payment for the application fee via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / Cash Deposit in Axis Bank.

Education Qualification
For B.H.Ed
  • The candidate must have passed B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com Examination conducted by recognized Universities having Hindi as an elective / pass / Honours subject with 50% marks in aggregate for Master’s Degree in Hindi with required percentages of the mark (45% for SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates) either in Bachelor’s Degree or in Master’s Degree in Hindi.
  • The candidate who is appearing in their final year Graduation Examination (Both Arts, Science & Commerce) are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicant must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • Exam conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or should be passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such applicants who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school that the candidate has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.
For B.P.Ed

Educational Qualification: The needed education qualification is as follows:

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks. Also, the candidates must have at least participated in Inter College / Zonal / District / School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India. 

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum of 45% marks.

 OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum of 45% marks and studied Physical Education as a compulsory/elective subject. 

OR

  • The candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 45% marks must have participated in National / Inter-University / State Competitions or secured 1st / 2nd / 3rd position in Inter College / Inter-Zonal /  School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.

OR

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with participation in international competitions or secured 1st / 2nd / 3rd position in Inter College / Inter-Zonal /  School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.

OR

  • The candidates must have done Graduation with 45% marks with at least 3 years of teaching experience in any stream.

For M.Ed
  •  Candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks for General category and 45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PH category or an equivalent grade in the given below programmes :
    1. B.Ed.
    2. B.A., B.Ed. / B.Sc.,B.Ed.
    3. Arts / Science Graduate with D.El.Ed. Degree (with 50% marks in each for General category and 45% in case of SC/ST/SEBC/PH category)
  • The applicant who is in the final year Examination of B.Ed. /B.A., B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. (For Arts & Science Graduate) is also eligible to apply.
  • Candidate must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or must have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such applicants who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school that the candidate has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.
For M.Phil
  • The Applicant must be a Master’s Degree holder in Education (MA (Education) / M.Ed.) from any recognized University having a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in case of General candidates and 50% aggregate marks in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates.
  • Candidate must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or must have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such applicants who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school that the candidate has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.
For D.EL.ED
  • The applicant must have passed the 10+2 Examination in Arts /Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards /Councils with a minimum of 50%  aggregate marks (45% of mark in aggregate in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates).
  •  The candidates who are appearing in their final year Higher 10+2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils are also eligible to apply. 
  • Candidate must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or must have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such applicants who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school that the candidate has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.
For B.Ed
  • Applicants having Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech) with specialization in Science and Mathematics are eligible to apply with 55% aggregate marks in the case of General candidates and 50% aggregate marks for SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates. All B.Tech.
  • Candidate must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or must have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such applicants who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school that the candidate has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.

Candidate must know the SCERT Odisha 2023 Exam Pattern for better preparation of the exam.

For B.ED
  • Duration of the Test: 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Type of Questions: MCQ
  • Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer (-0.25) marks will be deducted. Also, more than one response to a question will be considered incorrect.

The exam will be conducted in two papers. Both the papers are compulsory. The subjects and distribution of marks in each paper are given in the following table.

SCERT Odisha 2023 Admit Card

The SCERT Odisha 2023 Admit Card will be made available on the official website.

  • The candidate is advised to take out the print of the Scent Odisha hall ticket for further process.
  • Candidate must take their admit card with them in the exam centre.
  • No Physical Admit Card will be sent to students appearing for the exam.
  • Candidates must not forget their Admit card on the day of the exam. Otherwise, he/she shall not be allowed to seat in the exam.
  • Admit Card will not be sent by post.

SCERT Odisha 2023 Result 

The provisional SCERT Odisha 2023 Result will be made available on the website for reference of the candidate, after 3 days of the completion of the Online Computer Based Test for all the courses.

  • The queries on the Scorecard will be invited from the candidates for 3 days only through online mode. Based on the queries received from the candidates the Expert panel will analyze the complaint and if found true the Revised final scoring key will be made available within 1 week.
  • In case of any discrepancy found in the question paper as well as in the result, the decision of the authority will be treated as final.

SCERT Odisha 2023 Tie Breaking

If the candidates secure the same marks in the entrance test, then, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied to provide merit rank: 

  • Firstly, Graduation marks will be considered and the candidates who will have a higher percentage of marks in Graduation will be given preference.
  • If the tie persists, then the age of the candidates shall be considered, one is older in age is given preference.

SCERT Odisha Counselling 2023

The SCERT Odisha 2020 Counselling process will be done after the declaration of the result. Authority will announce the SCERT Odisha counselling schedule on the official site.

When the counselling round is done applicants need to download a seat allowance letter from the official website of the university. When the seats are chosen to the applicants, they need to see the allotted college with all vital pamphlets and credentials.

About Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT

The State Council of Education, Research and Training have assumed importance after the implementation of the new Education Policy. The Council will work as the counterpart of NCERT. Among the multifarious work to be done by the SCERT, the formation of District Institute of Education and Training and its management, improvement of the syllabus, programming of vocational education and taking up short course training of teachers are important. This organization, in this context, has assumed maximum importance.
