ASTU Guwahati Admission 2023 will commence tentatively in the month of July. Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) was established in 2010 by the Assam Government under the Assam Science and Technology University Act 2009. ASTU is a state university located in Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam, India. ASTU aims to bring all existing Engineering Colleges/Institutions in a common platform so that same course curriculum can be followed. The course curriculum has been designed as per guidelines of AICTE and at par with some of the prestigious universities of National and international repute. This will help the students to compete with other students anywhere.

Entrance Test for ASTU Admission 2023
- ASTU will conduct the Assam CEE 2023 for admission in UG engineering courses.
- ASTU also conduct JMEE 2023 (Joint M.C.A. Entrance Examination) for admission in Master of Computer Application (MCA).
- ASTU will conduct JLEE 2023 (Joint Lateral Entry Examination) for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme.

GOAPS accepts applications through their official website. Where the applicant must first register in order to create a new account with a single email address.
Documents Required
- Scanned photograph and signature
- Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
- Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
- Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
- Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
- Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
- Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
- Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.
Note: Candidates who have completed the GATE exam will be given preference, and they will not be required to take the institute's selection test.
Department of Assam Science and Technology University

Department of Energy Engineering
The first in-campus department of Assam Science and Technology University is the Department of Energy Engineering which was started in 2016 with the objectives to develop technically competent human resource and environmentally sustainable technologies in the engineering sector. Energy Engineering Department in the University was established to develop a roadmap for research to solve the challenges related to energy and environment relevant engineering and technology. This is in accordance with IMPRINT INDIA’s (Government of India’s scheme launched on 05 November 2015) aim of directing research in the premier institutions into areas of societal relevance.

Admission Notification For M.TECH.(ENERGY ENGINEERING) at ASTU
Intake Capacity: 18 Students
Admission Procedure/Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates who have completed BE/B.Tech/AMIE in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/ Energy Engineering / Electronics / Instrumentation/ Agricultural Engineering or M. Sc. in Physics and Chemistry and score 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with valid GATE score in the above-mentioned branches can also apply and will be admitted on merit basis.
- The remaining vacant will be filled up through the university entrance examination.
- Statutory Reservation and Relaxation Policy will be followed as per the rules of the Government of Assam.
- The list of candidates who will be shortlisted for counselling/admission will be upload on the website of the university.
- At the time of counselling, candidates need to produce the original testimonials and certificates for verification.
Application Process for M.TECH.(Energy Engineering) at ASTU
Candidates can apply for the Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Assam Science and Technology University by downloading the Application form from the university website.
- The application form should be submitted on or before the last date of submission.
- Students have to pay the amount of Rs. 300/- as an application fee through Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Assam Science and Technology", payable at SBI.
- Duly filled application form along with the DD should be sent at Assam Engineering College Branch, Jalukbari, Guwahati.
Documents to be sent along with the Application Form:
- DD (Demand Draft) of Rs. 300/-.
- Copies of 10th standard Certificate & Marksheet
- Copies of 12th class Certificate & Marksheet
- Copy of the valid GATE scorecard
- Copy of relevant certificate issued by the competent authority (for reserved category).
- Copy of the Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Assam.
- Two passport size photographs
- Copy of the Sponsorship/No Objection Certificate issued by the employer, if the candidate is employed.
NOTE: All the photocopies must be self-attested by the applicants.
Assam Science and Technology University Facilities
- The university central library, which spans 12,000 square feet and features wide reading areas, houses a collection of over 20,000 books as well as a considerable number of national and international publications.
- Hostel: A boys hostel with a capacity of 345 beds is available. It is a dorm on campus.
- Sports: The institution does an excellent job of catering to the demands of students who participate in sports.
- Basketball court, cricket pitch, football ground, squash court, swimming pool, and volleyball court are all available.
