JSS Medical College (JSSMC) is a medical college cum Hospital and is one of the finest colleges. The college is situated in Mysore, Karnataka. The university was established in 1981. The university is established with a hospital too for the practical knowledge of the study performed in the college. The university was established with a motto of work is worship. The university campus is built over 300 acres and is equipped with much stuff such as a library, Reference Section, Periodicals, Computer, Audio-visual Section, and General Reading Room. These amenities provide development of the intellect among the students. The university also aims to develop the child with the social development of the mind of the student. the university also offers and supports ethical standards such as professionalism to achieve excellence in academic and research activities supporting health and the environment, thus benefiting society.

JSS University provides an MD degree in 17 disciplines, an MS degree in 11 streams, and an MDS degree in nine disciplines. candidates must have completed a one-year compulsory circular internship in a teaching institution and should have a permanent registration of any State Medical Council.
