IIT Kanpur Admission Process 2020 varies according to the course. For B.Tech, B.S, and dual degree courses admission is based on JEE Advanced Rank, For M.Tech./ MS (by Research) programme admission is based on GATE exam score. Whereas for MDes programme interested candidates have to qualify CEED exam with good score. While for MBA course, candidates are selected on the basis of score in CAT exam followed by an Interview conducted by IIT Kanpur.

IIT Kanpur provides B.Tech and B.S. in various field of Science and Technology for 4-year degree course. Candidates with good score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced are eligible for B.Tech and B.S programs.

IIT Kanpur M.Tech Admission 2020
For Admission in M.Tech courses, candidate must have score a good rank in GATE Examination.
Final admission to these programs is granted on the basis of counselling and an interview.

For Admission in M.Sc courses, candidate must have score a good rank in IIT JAM or GATE examination.

M.S. Research is a two year PG program which provides knowledge and training in particular areas of Science, Technology, Mathematics, Medicine, etc. For this course, minimum eligibility is a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent or a Masters degree in Science.
