OTET 2020 which is also known as Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test 2020 will be conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.   in government, private aided, and private unaided colleges of Odisha state. All candidates who have cleared their category XII or graduation are eligible to seem for Odisha TET test.
Odisha teachers eligibility test will be conducted in two papers i.e. Category A (Paper I) and category B (Paper-II). There are separate eligibility criteria for both the exams. Candidates must go through following article regarding more details of OTET 2020.

OTET 2020 Application Form

Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will release the OTET 2020 application form in online mode only. Application form for OTET 2020 is supposed to release in July 2020. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before submission of the registration forms. Initially, Applicants have to pay the registration fee after filling their registration form. Application fee of the candidate varies according to their category. All the candidates who want to participate in the exam have to submit their application form before the last date. Any application submitted by the candidate after the last date will not be accepted by the authority. Candidates can fill the Registration Form by following the simple steps given below.
  • First of all, candidates need to visit the official website of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.
  • Candidates have to click on the link of new registration available on the web page where they will be asked to enter the details such as name, password, mobile number, and email ID and click on it.
  • After entering all the basic details, candidates have to submit it. Candidates will get then login details to fill the Application Form.
  • The applicants then have to fill all the correct and complete details in the Registration Form such as personal details and educational details etc.
  • Candidates are advised to check all the details again before the final submission of the Application Form.
OTET 2020 Application Fee

After filling all the details in the registration form successfully, Applicants were asked to pay the OTET 2020 Registration fee. Odisha TET 2020 Application fee varies according to the category of the candidate as shown below:

Modes of Payment: Candidate can pay the Odisha TET 2020 Registration fee by any of the following Method:
  • online (SBI debit card/ SBI net banking) or 
  • offline (SBI Challan) mode.

OTET 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who are interested  to become a teacher in the schools of Odisha State, they must go through OTET 2020 Eligibility, which is given below:

  • Candidates must belong from India.
  • OSSTET 2020 applicants must be able to read and write in Odia.
  • Interested applicants must have passed Higher Senior secondary examination conducted by BSE Odisha or any other recognised board with Odia as one of the main subjects, i.e., First/ Second/ Third Language.
  • The applicants must have passed the Odia exam of in Class 10 (Single Subject Examination) conducted by BSE Odisha.
  • There is no upper age limit to apply in this test.
  • OTET 2020 is conducted in two different papers. Candidate must check their eligibility criteria according to the exam chosen by them.
Education Qualification

Candidates having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for appearing in OTET.

Category-A ( Paper- I )
  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education(CT or D.El.Ed). OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).OR
  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education.
Category-B ( Paper-II )
  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
  • Graduation with minimum 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. OR
  • Graduation with minimum of 50% marks and one-year B.Ed.(Special Education). OR
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and four-year B.A./ B.Sc, Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/ SEBC category will be provided relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in +2 or graduation level.

OTET 2020 Admit Card

The candidates must have all the important information about OSSTET Admit Card 2020 so that they download the same before the last date.

Details of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test Admit Card are provided in this section below:

  • Candidates can download OTET 2020 Admit Card only through the official website from the second week of November 2020 onwards.
  • They are advised to read all the instructions given on OSSTET Admit card.
  • No candidate will be permitted to appear for the exam without OSSTET hall ticket.
  • Candidates can not change their exam centre apart from those mentioned on the Hall ticket.
  • In case a candidate does not find OTET admit card can contact to authority.

OTET 2020 Exam Pattern

In OTET exam, there are two papers that are Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper I is for Primary Level Exam for those candidates who are going for Teacher Eligibility Certificate in Class I to V. And similarly Paper II is for Upper Primary Level that is for those who want the Certificate for teaching Class VI to VIII. The Paper I and Paper II patterns is given here in details.

OTET 2020 Answer Key

After the exam, the Board of Secondary Education will release its official answer key. Candidates must check the following points regarding the OTET 2020 Answer key:

  • Answer key of Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 or OSS TET 2020 or OTET 2020 will be available at bseodisha.nic.in.
  • It contains correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
  • The different answer key will be published paper wise (I and II) and set wise (A, B, C, D).
  • Candidates should download and check their answers only for which they have question paper.
  • Candidates are advised to use official answer keys to check their answers and to predict their even before the result is announced.
  • An answer key is published as a PDF file. Candidates don't have to log in to get them.

Candidates must note that in 2019, OSS TET exam answer key was not published because the question paper was leaked. In that case, the authority had released the answer key for re-exam or new exam directly.
