PSTET 2027 Eligibility Criteria is set by the exam conducting body - Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET) Entrance Exam is a state-level exam conducted once in a year. This exam is Officially being called PSTET 2027 Exam by the authority. Education Qualification:
For Primary Teacher(class 1-V)
The candidate must have cleared Senior Secondary 10+2 (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
The applicant must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
The aspirant must have passed Senior Secondary 10+2 (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
They have passed Senior Secondary 10+2 (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
The applicant must have cleared their graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education from any recognised university.
For upper primary Teacher(Classes VI-VIII) Elementary Stage:
Candidate should have cleared graduation and passed or showing in the final year of 2-year certification in teaching from any recognised university.
OR
They must have graduated with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
The candidate has graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
They have cleared senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary 10+2 (or it's equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Passed the graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Note:
- There are going to be Relaxation up to five within the qualifying marks within the academic Qualification for eligibility to use will be allowed to the candidate's happiness to reserved classes, such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD.
- Those applicants who are appearing in the final year of their Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their PSTET Certificate will be valid only on passing the Bachelor Degree's exam.
