Forest Research Institute Dehradun administers the FRI M.Sc Entrance Test, a national exam for admission to M.Sc programmes in forestry, wood science and technology, environmental management, and cellulose and paper technology. The application form for FRI M.Sc Admission 2022 will be available soon. The exam was held in an online remote-proctored style at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun. Candidates must pass the admissions test to be considered for admission to this institute. Based on institute-based counselling, final admission is awarded. For the academic year 2022-23, FRI is accepting applications for Master of Science (M.Sc) programmes in a variety of subjects. Eligibility Criteria for FRI M.Sc Admissions 2022

  • Sc. Forestry: Candidates must have a B.Sc. (three-year bachelor's degree) in Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, or Zoology, or a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
  • Candidates for the M.Sc. Wood Science & Technology programme should have a B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or a B.Sc. in Forestry.
  • A three-year bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in any discipline of basic or applied sciences, or a bachelor’s degree in forestry or agriculture, or a BE/B.Tech in Environment Science is required for the M.Sc. Environment Management programme.
  • Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the topics or a BE/B.Tech. degree in cellulose and paper technology (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering). This course's second year will most likely be held at the Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute (CPPRI) in Saharanpur.
  • Percentage Required: Candidates must have an aggregate score of 50% or above in the general category and 45 percent in the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes category to meet the qualifying requirements.
  • Age Limit: The maximum age restriction for M.Sc. candidates who are currently employed is 35 years old. The Environment Management programme has been running for 50 years. The age is calculated as of July 31st of the year of admission, and no further concessions are made.

Syllabus for FRI MSc 2022

Candidates must check the syllabus to get a thorough understanding about the subjects and questions. Candidates should take a print-out of the syllabus and should prepare accordingly by referring it. Exam Pattern for FRI M.Sc Admissions 2022

Candidates must also go through the exam pattern to make themselves aware about the exam related information. The exam format is available here for applicants who have completed the application form.

  • The examination will be conducted in an offline format. To put it another way, it's a written test that can only be completed with a black/blue ballpoint pen.
  • Question Types: There are objective type inquiries that are asked.
  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours in total.
  • Total Number of Sections: The question paper is divided into four sections.
  • Negative Marking: Each incorrect response receives one-fourth (1/4) of a point.

FRI M.Sc Admission 2022 Admit Card

Candidates can seek for FRI M.Sc admit card related details below after successfully submitting the application form:

  • The outsourcing agency would distribute admit cards to candidates within the first week of May 2022.
  • If an applicant does not have a valid admission card, he or she will not be allowed to take the test.
  • The admit card specifies the test date, time, and location.
  • E-mail is used to send the admissions admit card. A duplicate admit card can be requested from the centre superintendent of a candidate's examination centre if he or she has not received or misplaced his or her admit card.
  • On working days, during business hours, the candidate may visit the Registrar's office at FRI University, Dehra Dun.

FRI M.Sc. Result 2022

The results of the FRI MSc. will be published on the official website. The aggregate marks obtained in the written test are used to create a merit list of candidates, which includes a waiting list. In all categories, candidates will be chosen in order of merit.
