BIHAR PGEAC 2022: Eligibility Criteria, Who can Apply?

BIHAR PGEAC 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility requirements for PGEAC 2022 - Bihar Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling 2022, as they were last year.

• For M.Tech (Machine Design) and M.Tech (Production Engineering), candidates must have a B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, and Industrial Engineering (Thermal Engineering)
• For Micro Electronics & VLSI Technology Course, candidates must have a B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering.
• Candidates from the general and OBC categories must have received a minimum of 50% in the above-mentioned subjects. For SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation, i.e., a minimum of 45 percent is required.

The courses M. Tech. (Machine Design), M. Tech. (Thermal Engineering), and Micro Electronics & VLSI Technology have no minimum age requirement.

Candidates must pass a medical examination. Candidates will only be admitted if they pass the medical examination.

Only Indian citizens who meet all of the following conditions are eligible to participate in the PGEAC 2022:

• Candidates' parents must be Bihar residents OR determined Bihar refugees 
• Candidates' parents must be Bihar government employees
• Candidates' parents must be Bihar government employees before the state was reconfigured and their positions are still transferable to Bihar or Jharkhand government employees
• Candidates' parents must be Indian government employees and work in Bihar states.

Bihar PGEAC 2022 Important Events

M.Tech (Machine Design) and M.Tech (Thermal Engineering) are two courses provided by the Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT, Muzaffarpur), to which individuals can apply based on their GATE exam scores.
