CENTAC 2020 application form has been released for BNYS course. The admission is controlled by the Centralized Admission Committee to offer various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma Programmes. It is a state-level exam that is used to fill a professional degree in college in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Candidates who wish to apply for admission to the participating institutes of the Centralized admission committee conducts the CENTAC once a year. This is a state-level examination.

  • The last date for downloading of Application Form along with Option Form and Prospectus and the last date for receipt of filled applications are extended until 12 September 2020 upto 5.00 P.M and until  15 September 2020 upto 5.30 P.M. respectively for admission into B.N.Y.S Medical degree course.

CENTAC 2020 Application Form

CENTAC 2020 Application Form will be available on the official website of CENTAC. Candidates are supposed to go through the below-mentioned guidelines for a great experience in CENTAC 2020 Examination and admission:
  • All the details asked for in Registration/Application form are Mandatory.
  • E-mail ID and mobile number should remain the same till the admission process is completed otherwise students might not get all the important details.
  • An Email ID once used for Registration online cannot be used again.
  • Once the application form is submitted online, request for any change in the data entered in the application form will NOT be entertained.
  • Incomplete/incorrect applications are liable to be rejected at any stage without prior information to the candidate.
  • Multiple application forms from the same candidate will result in confusion leading to the disqualification of the candidate.

Nationality Criteria
A candidate seeking admission through CENTAC 2020 should be an Indian National. However, French Nationals residing in the UT of Puducherry and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with Indian Nationals, for admission to all the courses.
Residence Criteria(Applicable for Seats in Govt. Colleges and
Govt. Quota Seats in Private Colleges)
  • The candidate or whose parent or Guardian has been residing continuously in this Union
    Territory for at least five years preceding the date of application.
  • Children of natives of U.T. of Puducherry who has declared any place in U.T. of
    Puducherry as their home town and so certified by their respective Heads of Office. Nativity
    A certificate in the prescribed format has to be enclosed.
  • Children of Defence Personnel who were killed or disabled in action and children of Central
    Government Servants/ Pondicherry UT Government Servants/Defence Personnel/
    Employees of Public Sector Undertaking wholly or substantially run either by the Central
    Government or by the Puducherry UT Administration who died while in the service in the
    Puducherry UT.
  • Those who have passed the SSLC / HSC or any other public examination and for that
    purpose had undergone academic studies continuously for 5 successive classes
    immediately preceding the qualifying examination in a recognized educational institution located in Pondicherry UT and having their residence in Pondicherry UT for 5 years continuously during that period. Mere stay in places such as residential hostel would not amount to the residence.

CENTAC 2020 Merit List

CENTAC 2020 Merit List will be as it is given below:

  • The criteria for preparing the Merit List vary from course to course.
  • CENTAC MERIT LIST will be prepared based on the marks scored in the qualifying exams like NEET, JEE, or based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Centac Pondicherry may publish the MERIT LIST as Draft giving the candidates one or two days to raise objections if any. The Final Merit List will be published after considering the objections if any.
  • Separate CENTAC Merit List will be prepared for Government Quota Seats & Management Quota Seats. The students should refer to the CENTAC website www.centacpuducherry.in for the merit list of all the courses.
  • In case the CENTAC ONLINE application is reopened for any Course, then the Merit List will be updated with all the new applications received in the due course. This may alter the existing Merit List as well.

CENTAC 2020 Counselling

After the declaration of the CENTAC 2020 merit list all the selected candidates of CENTAC 2020 are required to appear for the online counseling round.

  • CENTAC 2020 counseling process can be done in one or more rounds as per the necessity of the course selected by the candidates.
  • Counselling will be done through computer module based on the preferences entered by the Candidates.
  • Generally, the CENTAC 2020 counseling consists of round 1, round 2, and mop-up round. CENTAC has the right to conduct as many counseling rounds as per the necessity or requirement of seats for any concerned course.
  • Mock allotments shall be done only for the courses for which the selected candidate have been notified separately.

Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) works under the Govt. of Puducherry. It is a common admission platform for all the colleges of Union Territory of Puducherry. It offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses. CENTAC provides both government and private colleges to the candidates. Candidates will get the colleges as per their rank in the merit list released by the CENTAC. It conducts various counselling rounds for the allotment of seats to the candidates.
